All Three cats love this heating pad
I have three, large, outside cats from 14 to 18 lbs. Last year I was worried about them & bought the self-warming pads. These worked great but it was getting below zero & I was worried about them not staying warm enough. So, this year I saw these BurgeonNest Electric Heating Pads and bought two of them. Two cats sleep together, and one sleeps in another place by herself. They sleep in an enclosed space on the porch. Today it is 9 degrees and is supposed to get down to -5 tonight and that's without the wind chill factor. So, I have them set on 5. I figured them being outside but still enclosed, & with the extreme cold, for here, that I would need to put them on 5 and they both have a thin blanket on top so that would make the heat not as hot as if it was the pad alone. They are staying in their spaces except to go out to drink or use the box. We have 9 inches of snow and it's very cold. I am very pleased with these pads and hope I don't have it too hot, but I don't think I do. I'll turn it down to about 3 when the temperature gets warmer which won't be until next week. I think anything above 32 degrees that 3 would be a good setting since they are under a covered space outside. I read all reviews and people were using it on 2, 3 and sometimes 4 inside their homes. You can't go wrong with this pad. I'm thinking of buying my inside cat one because it has an ever on selection and then you can set it for up to 24 hrs. or lower if you want. Since my cats are older cats from 8 to 14 years old. & senior, they need to be kept warm & the heat helps with their arthritis. It's wonderful and they all give it 5 MEOWS and more if they could. I would highly recommend this BurgeonNest Electric Heating Pad and have to my pet friends. Just knowing they're warm and cozy means a lot to me in this weather. This is a very good product and I wish I had bought it sooner. I can't say enough about this BurgeonNest Pet Electric Heating Pad. I guess you can tell I'm very pleased with it and so are my kitties. You can't go wrong with these Electric Heating Pads.

Cat test, human approved!
I had a heating pad for myself that my cat decided she loved and took it over. I went hunting for a pet one that was bigger and could be just hers. I looked at so many different ones on Amazon and decided on this one and I have NO complaints. She absolutely loves it, and I love all the features. Chew proof cord = yes. Washable cover = yes. Adjustable temp settings = yes. Multiple timer options = yes. Yes, yes, yes!I will say that I tried it out first and felt like it wasn't getting warm, at least not the way I was used to with my regular heating pad. I had this one turned ALL the way up and it still didn't feel very warm. I thought I was going to have to take it back. Then, I read the manual (maybe I should've started with that) and read that humans and pets experience temperature differently and that this pad has passed strict standards that don't exceed the maximum temperature for animal safety regulations. I was impressed. And most of all, my cat didn't seem to notice or mind, and I have peace of mind knowing that it's not going to ever be too warm for her.

Perfect for humans and cats
About a year ago I bought a pet heating pad for my elderly cat, and he would have nothing to do with it. Eventually I started using it and was surprised how useful and convenient it was: pet heating pads usually have lower settings than people heating pads, but many have choices that go all the way up to what people use. I found on that heating pad the sweet spot was 88 degrees. At that temperature you couldn’t necessarily tell the heating pad was on until you were sitting or lying on it for 5 minutes, then you felt a pleasant gentle warmth that kept you cozy but didn’t make you go into shock from the sudden cold if you walked away from it.My cat died and I later got two kittens that quickly quadrupled in size and fight me for the heating pad. I decided to order a new pad but the old one is not being sold anymore so I had to find another one. Too many choices to research! The first one I ordered was a disaster and I retuned it. This one is slightly more expensive and so worth it. Its low temperature is 86, followed by 95; it goes up 6 levels. At first I wasn’t sure 86 was enough and put it up a notch, that was ok. Now I lowered it to 86 and it still feels a bit warm. I like to keep the thermostat in my home a little cool but have warm spots like in my recliner reading a book. This is perfect. I hope it continues to work as well for the long run — the first one is still working fine. For people that had waterbeds (I had one in the 80s) I think the sweet spot temperature was about 86-88 degrees; that made it cozy without being overpowering.

My 13-lb cat likes it and the XL sized mat allows her to spread out.
I've only had this mat for 3 and a half weeks but my cat seems to like it so far. It took her about 2 weeks to get used to it. She's a very picky cat and wouldn't go near it at first and then walked away from it when I plopped her on it. Then it was too hot, or so I thought, but now she does use it and likes it on the highest setting (there are 6 heat levels) and preferably on the floor. I feel safer using the 4-hour setting which is the smallest duration of time you can set it for. I don't like that when you press the on-button, that it doesn't automatically set the minimum timer for 4 hours but is set to be turned on indefinitely, although it should still be safe if you left it on all day according to reviews I read before buying this. The fabric is nice and soft like polyester fleece and the brown color isn't loud or unattractive. The cord is long enough to stretch across the couch to the floor and it does seem to be chew-proof although my cat never chews cords, so luckily I haven't had to test that feature. I also like to use the mat for myself when I take naps because it provides just the right amount of warmth if you tuck it under your legs or feet and I trust that the mat won't get too hot and the timer will turn the mat off automatically if I forget to turn it off myself, unlike my own heating pad which lacks this function. Lastly, I've noticed the mat doesn't collect cat hair. I'm not sure why, but it's an added plus. One more thing--I bought the larger sized mat because I wanted my cat to be able to stretch out and I am glad I did because she can do just that, and it really isn't all that big in my opinion, meaning it is not too small but the way it is described as being for large dogs made me think it would be much larger when I first got it in the mail. Hopefully, the pictures help show what I mean.

Best Ever
I have used human heating pads on my cats for years. Big mistake. They get too hot and most all of them say not to directly lay on them. This heating pad is especially made for animals and it regulates the heat. It is so easy to set and to use. My cats love it. I ended up buying the smaller one first and then had to purchase the larger one after that to place it in the daybed in my great room. It has 6 different heat settings and 4 different time settings for up to 24 hours. It has a thick cord and my cats have not tried to chew on it. You can’t really totally appreciate this one until you have ordered several other brands for animals. I have and I can tell you they were horrible. They didn’t work correctly and they were difficult to set. The worst one was the one I ordered with the fake lamb’s wool. Buy this one. You won’t be disappointed. It is worth the price.
