Purchase these to hold flower/garden landscape edger!
These are very good when it comes to hammering in and holding the upper edge of landscape edging. Really sturdy and NONE of them broke when hammering them into the soil! TIP: I watered the landscape area where I was going to apply the landscape edger to soften the soil for 10 minutes before I started pounding these stakes in. The landscape edger I purchased didn’t have very many stakes, so I purchased these and really liked them better because the top of the stakes have a ‘clip’ area that fits over the top edge of the edger material to hold it in place. I’d purchase again.

Not bad
I just put these in, so I can’t comment how they hold overtime, but so far they seem OK. They are nice and long and thick, which I think will give them good grip in the soil to hold the plastic edging in. You will need a sledgehammer to drive these into the ground. I wouldn’t go crazy with a sledgehammer, these can break. I would say when I was putting them in about one out of five broke when I was hammering them in. A little tip, at first I thought that I could use these to help drive the plastic edging deeper into the soil. They are not strong enough to do that and will break. So you have to make sure that you have the plastic edging in the soil as deep as you want it to go and then use this to just secure the edging instead of push it further into the soil. What I found worked best was to first get the plastic edging into the soil as deep as I want to, and in the position I wanted it in, then to drive the stake with a sledgehammer so that it would clip down on the plastic edging as it was driving down into the soil. This is instead of attaching the stake to the plastic edging before putting the edging in the soil and then trying to put them all in at once. That doesn’t work very well. Overall, I’d recommend this product, but make sure you buy some extra if you need all of them because you probably will break some.

Easy to use clip
The fastener is easy to use. The stake is a little short for 5” board, but do-able.

Great for the money and their ability to hold edging in place
For the amount you get for the money it is amazing and their ability to hold edging in place is superior

Weak
They break easy when putting them into the semi-soft ground

Pre drill the holes.
OK I've installed alot of these stakes. For a nice straight vertical board Do Not Just tap these into the ground unless your soil is very soft. In stead hammer a piece of 5/8 rebar to premake the hole where you want the stakes. Hold the rebar straight up and pressed firm against the edging. If you don't pre tap the hole the stakes tend to turn and not end up straight. Also if you alternate the stakes on both sides of the board you get better strength especially if running a straight line. Happy gardening.

Exactly what is needed to use with the border.
They work great, however if you dig a trench to place the border, you don’t need these. We actually didn’t need them because we dug a trench and the border worked perfectly without them, but if you want it to stand alone, these work great.

Buen material y resistente
