Earth's End (Air Awakens Series Book 3) Paperback – February 10, 2016

In my personal opinion this book was one of the most emotional books I've ever read. I was so submersed in the world that everything felt personal. The book starts off rough where book 2 left off and ends even worse. *Running to book 4 instantly* SO many heartbreaking scenes in this third installment, but so masterfully written. I don't even have words for a lot of the things that take place this time.

My emotions felt like they were just on a roller coaster that wouldn’t stick on a straight path most of the way through. Oh man.As far as the plot went, I really enjoy how it keeps advancing to a common goal and a main purpose of Vhalla having to fight for the crown and to hopefully win her freedom. Throughout the events that happen in this book, that never changed, but it was always met with one challenging opposition or another. I’m rooting for Aldrik and Vhalla, and to see their love grow and blossom, only to be torn down, hurts. Challenge after challenge got in their way, and even though they both fought for each other in their own ways to strive toward an end together, things became so rocky in the end that I could feel my heart pounding as I read it all unfolding before me.I found that there were secrets and many twists and turns in this novel. Vhalla is becoming a much stronger individual even in the face of death surrounding her. She doesn’t give up and she strives to protect the prince she loves. I think that although that is her primary driving force, she does so with so much passion that it’s hard not to root for her and to hopefully see her through to the end. She’s much more bold in the presence of the Emperor (whom I wouldn’t mind seeing NOT in a place of power, thanks), never backing down and asserting her intelligence among people who would otherwise belittle her.I thought that Vhalla was a force to be reckoned with in this book as we saw her use her magic many, many times than in the previous two books, and how far her training has brought her. She’s unafraid to hurt and kill if the need be, which is extremely useful in a solider. I loved being able to see her use her strength and power to her advantage because it really shows how far she’s grown from a meek library apprentice, to a stubborn, strong headed, Windwalker.Aldrik was also someone that I worried about at the beginning, but once he recovered from injuries at the beginning, I was glad to see his protective and loving nature over Vhalla come back right away. At times I thought he was too overprotective, much in the same way he was in the previous books, but I saw that his love came from somewhere deep inside of him and he wanted to express that. We also got to see more of his epic fire wielding skills as he fought alongside Vhalla and WOW, those two are incredible together. I thought that mentioning how they fight stronger and better together was an important aspect of the book, for sure, because they bounced off of each other so naturally.As for some of the other characters and side things going on, I thought that Daniel was a good constant companion, though I could see something brewing between them momentarily, Vhalla seemed to quickly shut it down. Elecia and Fritz are in this as much as I would have wanted, but still seeing their presence there, and the interactions they have with Vhalla, really comforted me that friendships weren’t just cast to the side in way of the romance.Speaking of the romance, OH MAN. Things got hot and heavy up in here and I was just like, “YES. FINALLY.” Yup, no shame.But let me just say: that ending, man. I am a ball of angry emotions because WHY CAN’T THEY CATCH A BREAK. WHY. I mean, I knew the Emperor would find some way to twist and turn everything around and make things miserable for them, but ARGH. I’m so mad. I mean, that’s not an entirely bad thing, but wow, so many emotions. I need the fourth book now, thanks.There were a few problems I did have with the novel, though, and they mainly had to do with the formatting of the book. I don’t know what happened, but on the Kindle it read weirdly and didn’t separate paragraphs at times or separated them in chunks. It was strange and distracted from reading because I oftentimes didn’t know who was speaking when sentences would run into each other in the same paragraph.Also, there were a lot of typos that I noticed, too, as with the other books. That became distracting, too, but I easily chugged forward.Other than that, I really enjoyed this sequel. It was heart pounding, action based, very romantic, and a whirlwind of emotions (see what I did there?). I’m definitely excited for the next book and I can’t wait to read it.Overall, I thought this was a solid sequel and I highly recommend it to anyone who’s read the first two novels.I rate this book 4.5/5 stars.

Another brilliant addition to the series, emotionally packed and equally heartbreaking as the previous books. The books keep getting better. Do finish Air Awakens and Fire Falling prior to reading Earth's End. Oh and definitely read Tales from the Front on Elise's site to get different POVs prior to EE. The cover of EE makes total sense by the end of EE ;)The story begins soon after FF ends. Where the empire Solaris is still at war with the North and Vhalla is still the pawn. Crown prince fell at the pass and so did the windwalker saving her beloved prince.....Did he make it? :DVhalla, it is truly amazing how each book brings out the best in her. She has come so far from being just a library apprentice. Now she is a symbol of strength, power and perseverance. She is flawed and yet innocent in the ways of the world. She is a fierce warrior yet, shows empathy where needed. She's a leader in her own way. She is becoming a force to be reckoned with. The more the empire (read: emperor) pushes her the stronger she becomes. I feel the path she chose is well. I feel she needs to do this for her own growth.Prince Baldair, I loved him in this book. I got to understand him a little better in EE and it was great to read about him. I enjoyed his connection with Vhalla and his support. We got to find out a bit about his estranged relationship with Aldrik. We truly understand that there are many layers to this heartbreaker prince. There is more than meets the eye.Daniel, I'm not sure what to make of him. While he is nice, loyal and 100% devoted to Vhalla...I am not a fan of him with Vhalla as more than a friend. This road needs to end just at friendship.Golden guard, love them. We get to meet Jax, Erion, Raylynn as well and each comes with their own personality. I absolutely loved Jax. He's a wild card but very loyal. I know there's a backstory there with him & the Emperor. I'm hoping Elise tells her fans his story. He surely made me laugh in the book.Elecia, loved her. I know she was all sketchy in FF...we get to find out more about her in EE. I enjoyed seeing her character grow and her accepting things once she saw the worth in it. I wish we could have seen more from her but whatever we saw I liked. She is truly a gifted healer.Fritz, Loved him. I don't know if it is even possible to love him more. He wasn't the major focus of the book. However, I loved each and every scene with him. I do feel a bit sad for him though. You can always email me ;)Despite the war carnage it was nice to see some tender and emotional moments in this book. I think it was nice to see that people find courage, hope, motivation, love in the bleakest of moments. I enjoyed reading about the war a bit more and to what depth the Emperor will go. Understandably, AA only highlighted the war for us. Well, in EE, you get more gory details, strategies, decisions and what it takes to win a war including collateral damage.I have this special kind of hate for the Emperor. He truly showed his true, cruel colors in EE. I mean this man is an evil, sick, manipulative bastard. And here I thought Egmun was bad.There's a cliffhanger, however, not as horrible as FF. The cliffhanger here is more like hmm...what direction will things take? It is fairly open ended right now. Things have happened, sacrifices have been made, one person's freedom has become someone else's prison. Will all this make or break a person...remains to be seen :)I do want to say though that relationships are a complex beast. You got to give it your all in earnest no matter how painful. There has to be growth....and secrets will kill ya.Yes, you NEED this book!!!

Earth’s End is the third book in the (Air Awakens series) by Elise Kova, and oh lord above my emotions are being wrecked by this series. My heart was literally in my throat. I can’t tell you how much I love this series, I can't get enough of it. I'm obsessed. It is a good way of putting it lol. Elise you are an incredible writer for this breathtaking and action packed book series.Vhalla ahhhhhh seriously how much can one girl take, and Aldik yikes lets not go there yet. You know seeing Vhalla from book 1 to now makes you proud. She has grown into herself so much and she has a heart of gold, but she has gotten so tough and will fight for what she wants, and she makes sure she succeeds 100%. So much happens in this book, I was up reading this well into the early morning cause I just couldn't stop, I needed to know my Aldrik was ok cause seriously seeing Vhalla without him was breaking my heart. We get a lot more on what's happening with the North, and wow I seriously dislike the Emperor very much. Aldrik #crying lol is all I can say to this. I seem to think that Elise likes torturing us with her endings, like seriously that ending, my heartstrings yet again are destroyed. Again though another outstanding book, plenty of action and definitely kept me on the edge of my seat my god. I need rest after reading this one, but at the same time I really wanted to go and start book 4. I love this world so much and the characters are amazing, well most of them are. Can't wait to start Water’s Wrath and prepare myself cause I think this gonna be another emotional rollercoaster.

I read this book nonstop as I have been a great fan of the series so far. I'm not a fangirl, I read a large amount of books and get hooked quite easily, I'm a sucker for a bit of magic and romance.Most important thing about the book - I did not skip any of it. I have a nasty habit of skipping sections that I find a bit tedious, for example world building that lasts 500 pages... My initial reaction to the book is that it has a lot of energy and is well written. I hope the author will write another series after this one as she definitely has the talent. For once, I didn't have any issues with the heroine either, too often you get a character who is rather flat (in terms of craft) or one of those who just whines for 364 pages.I genuinely can't review this properly because I honestly think I'll end up giving the plot away. I felt like every page of this book was vital and important to the plot and I think it should stay a guarded secret until you read it! But 100% I thorough recommend this series and this book. Read it!

Love love this set of books lots of twists and turns read the hole set in 2weeks just started the next set .i always start with the free sample I found it kept me hooked.i have read a lot of this kind of books and this is one of the better ones please give it a go

Absolutely loved this although was greatly disappointed to see that there is a book 5 and I HAVE TO WAIT?! What?! :O I cannot wait for book 5 it needs to be released now! I need to know WHAT HAPPENS!The book holds everything it needs for an easy enticing read! The series is a MUST!
