Did not work well on my toe nails. Not sure why. I had to reach down, grab my foot, pull up and hold my foot steady, and still I had a problem with these cutting my toe nails. They slipped off my nails w/o cutting. I may have accomplished a 'sliver' or so, but definitely not a clear, sharp cut off the top of any nail. Not very comfortable to hold. In my opinion they seem a little thin or not really high quality. Or my toe nails have become bionic somehow. I'm still on the search for a great toe nail cutter. I would not buy these again. The scissor part seems way to short to me. If I have to pull my entire leg into my lap to reach my toe nails, what is the point then. I will try them if I notice a nose hair or chin hair sprouting up, lol.....how gross.

I bought these for my mom (77) after she confided in me the only way she could cut her nails was if she sat on top of steps. Being afraid of falling she did go to a nail salon yet ended up with an ingrown nail. I was worried about her safety on the stairs and inadequate care at salons, so I Googled "the best nail trimmers for elderly" and found these with 5 star ratings. I was elated when amazon had them and prime so I could get them to her in the days I was there. She was questionable at best when we got them ~ yet once she tried them her response to me was "They REALLY work!". She reported they are sharp without being too sharp (maybe rugged is a better term), angled perfectly, and a God-send for her thick aged nails. She is so proud to be able to trim her own nails again, easily. Highly recommended!!!

The blades are sharp. The finger holes in the handle are far too small and make the scissors awkward to use. I wasn't really able to angle the scissors as I wanted to, but I may get more proficient as I use the scissors more. I previously bought one of those Pakistani clippers with dull blades, and this was a replacement. I think the Pakistani clippers would be a lot easier to use than these scissors, if only the blades weren't so dull; I'm going to see about having them sharpened. So far, this is the best gadget I've found for clipping my toenails, now that I have trouble reaching down to them, but it still leaves a lot to be desired.

I like the scissors, they help me reach my feet because I have trouble bending over with regular clippers. I wish they were slightly longer and a bit tougher, but they did the job so I am happy about that. I still feel some pain when I lean over to cut my nails, but at least I can do it with the scissors. Without them I could not cut my nails on my right foot. So I am happy about that.

These are lightweight, I can hardly get my fingers in the wider slot, and they look and feel like they'd be awful.But they work like a dream!With my toenail clippers, I have to exert a lot of force, and frequently can't manage to cut. About half the time, it's because the clippers just slide off.Not with these! All I do is get the scissors in the right position and think about cutting, and it's done. The serrations on the blade keep it in place and make the cut exactly where I positioned the scissors. And the longer distance to the hand position gives so much more leverage that cutting is really effortless.They just cut your nails effortlessly and accurately. I love tools that work well!

It takes a lot to really impress me, but I am totally impressed. I got these and was blown away. I usually have to soak my feet for ten minutes to be able to cut my toenails. This time I sat down and just cut them. It was like cutting butter. No strain at all and I have one double nail. It cut right through that one, also. No splitting or anything. They are sturdy. They might look flimsy, but these are solid and easy to control. I am 70 and had no problem at all. Will never be without these again.

These COULD be a five star scissors but they have two issues that can not be dismissed. First as mentioned if you have hands larger than a petite female you will not fit, Two, the idea is great but the blades have a protective guard to prevent snips, I assume, that stop you from getting a close cut. Should neither of these two factors be a problem for an individual then these are great buy.

I really like this product and my only complaint is the size of the handle opening. It's tough to get used to but the product performs so well I don't let that minor flaw bother me that much. I've only used this product a couple of times but it works far better than any other nail clipper that I've found.
