Page turner!!
I LOVED this book!! I read it in just a few days, I couldn’t stop. April Henry is one of my favorite authors. If you like crime books or thrillers, this book should be your next. Henry knows how to suck you in and continue to surprise you as the story goes on. I just bought Count All Her Bones, which follows this one. I expect it to be just as amazing. There are no major adult situations that take place, but there are mentions of the characters fears of such. I would be cautious if you’re getting it for a younger reader.

Will it take a turn for the worst? Will she ever come home
I Give the book Girl, Stolen by April Henry five stars. I am giving this book five stars for many reasons. I personally think the story has a lot of twist and turns in it. Will it take a turn for the worst? Will she ever come home? These questions popped up in my mind within the first few chapters of the book! This book has many compulsive characters in it that also add a little spunk into the story. The Main character, Cheyenne Wilder, gets unexpectedly kidnapped. While her step mom was filling up Cheyenne prescription for pneumonia Cheyenne decided to stay in the car with the keys in so it stayed warm for her. Then all of a sudden a guy hopped in the car! He didn't know Cheyenne was in there, all he wanted was the car. In the book You follow Cheyenne’s Journey of being blind while fighting pneumonia and trying to escape from the kidnapper. I recommend this book for kids from ages 12-15 because it is a topic that will keep them busy reading because it will most likely appeal to their liking. Also it is a little mature for kids any younger than eleven. I also recomend this book to any person who likes thrillers because their is a new twist in every chapter. Personally I am also giving this book five stars because you fall in love with the story and can't put it down. This to me is a good book because I personally hate, yes hate, reading but I couldn't put this book down. In every chapter I fell in love with new characters and I couldn't get enough of it. Lastly why this phenomenal book deserves five stars is because of the deep emotion the characters reveal. In some key chapters I never imagined Cheyenne doing some certain actions. I was just so shocked in every twist and turn that April Henry threw at me. Those are the reasons why I give this book five stars.

Griffin had only meant to jack the Escalade, not kidnap a girl
The story starts right in the midst of Cheyenne being stolen while she lies under a blanket in the backseat. I often read advice about starting a story in the middle of the action. While that may grab my attention, it won’t hold for long if I don’t care about the characters. There needs to be a build up or a strong display of emotion.Even though April began Cheyenne’s story when her car was jacked, she let readers get adjusted to the situation and acquainted to the sixteen-year-old by putting her in a vulnerable state (from the pneumonia). It took a moment for the sick teen to grasp what was happening. All the while, the dramatic irony and inductive reasoning gripped me. Knowing her abduction wasn't intentional adds an extra layer of conflict.I appreciate the way April unfolds the story. Also, I can tell she did extensive and hands-on research concerning blindness and kidnappings. In fact, April was inspired by a real kidnapping that’d happened in the same way as Cheyenne’s, except the girl — who is blind — was forced out the car about three blocks away from the abduction site."Girl, Stolen" is a short read with significant strengths and weaknesses. The tension and nervousness mounted as I got closer and closer to the end. A great thing, but I still wanted more intensity and depth of content. Don't get me wrong. I love how April took a realistic approach, but I wanted the story to burst at the seams with grit and wreak havoc on my mind and Cheyenne’s. Nevertheless, this book packs a punch worth experiencing. I give it a solid B+.If you're interested in a more thorough review, check out my blog post: https://izzyreadson.wordpress.com/2015/04/27/izzy-may-i-the-write-book-review/

A Really Good Crime, Action Novel Suitable For Young Adults
This is a very good crimes fiction, action novel. There is little, if any, foul language. I cannot recall any. As a parent I would have no problem having a high school age child read this fine novel. I also enjoyed it myself.I had only come upon April Henry as an author having seen she co authored novels with Lis Wiehl. I was curious who April Henry is and what the nature of this collaboration is about. I have now read one novel by April Henry and one by Lis Wiehl and April Henry. I liked both but prefer this novel to "Face Of Betrayal". I intend to keep reading both authors with the intention of trying to differentiate the two. This novel is above average. There is a crime with a unique turn. The victim has to become very resourceful in an attempt to help the times, this book proved a true "page turner" for me. I was actually surprised how much I like it simply because I had never heard of April Henry.I purchased an audiobook and read the book on Kindle simultaneously listening. The narrator is Kate Rudd. I also felt she was really quite good and her performance added to the reading experience. In summary, I liked this book very much and intend to read another April Henry novel in the near future. In the event that a reader enjoys this particular work, one might consider "All The Light We Cannot See" by Anthony Doerr. Thank You...
