Video Game Consoles through Ubuntu
I needed something to use with game consoles and looking around this seemed to be the best for the price. Using TVtime I have no problems. I was afraid if I hooked up multiple devices it would drop my fps, but I'm guessing it will only do that if you try to view each one simultaneously, with TVtime I can cycle through the inputs and get full fps on each one. I'm excited about this since it effectively gives me 4 inputs without requiring me to buy an external switch. The video quality seems good, I've noticed no delay, and I've experimented with recording through screen capture programs and it looks promising. This is the first capture card I've ever bought and it's working way better than I expected it to. Please notice that all four jacks are for video, any audio has to run in through the line in jack (which isn't a problem since there isn't any delay in the video).Update:So having used this product for a year and a half (always with console games through a Linux computer) we're still loving it.Be sure your computer has PCI ports, we recently purchased one which only had PCI-E, didn't expect anything like that to exist for a while. Fortunately that computer and this card have nothing to do with each other, unfortunately it got me scared, so be careful.

Excellent for video capture
The product is easy to install and comes with a bracket for pci express sized slots. It came with windows XP drivers, but drivers for other OS's can easily be found online. I use it to capture video from game consoles and play them through my PC. even in the highest quality, I got no image lag with the packaged winTV program. My system is running Windows 98se with 512mb of RAM and an Celeron 800mhz processor, so the overall requirements for this are very low. Includes Composite, S-video, Video tuner, and Video AUX. The only complaint I have is that it does not contain RCA audio ports but a cheap RCA to 3.5mm adapter works fine with the line-in on any PC. A great buy, highly recommend.

Not reliable unfortunately
I have had two of these and both of them had 2 or more of the channels die after a few months of use so I can't really recommend them. I did like the fact that they came with API and some information on how to automate them. After contacting support the trick to getting it to actually use all 3 channels was this little all important registry tweak below. Why this was not presented in the product information that come with it is a mystery to me.REGEDIT4[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Hauppauge\hcwTVWnd]"AllowAuxInputs"=dword:00000001

Three inputs - Only one works
Card is recognized but there is no selector in the app or driver for switching between RCA jacks. I had hoped to put two video cameras on this and share the converter at least. Cannot get the others to work. Win XP SP3 and a dual Intel Core 2, 1TB HD, 2 GB dual channel Ram.

Excellent
The work perfectly with our custom developed security monitoring software and the drivers are compatible with XP/7 Home and Professional 32bit. Think we have also tried it with W8 32bit. One thing I've noticed is that they are no longer including the RCA converter for the 4th port. We only use two ports so for us, that’s not an issue. Hauppauge does not carry PCIe card with four ports so the MB has to at least have one PCI slot. Have tried other video capture cards but the drivers are always an issue. These cards can take years of hostile usage. Have quite a few installed going for over 8 years under heavy with no problems.
