Fixed leaking hydroboost

Incorrect for: Ordered this for my 1999 crew cab short bed K3500 (GMT400 body style).Kit was lacking 3 seals I luckily had in a O Ring kit I have on my shelf.This is not something you try if you’re not a experienced mechanic and have a good assortment of tools. Kit does include other seals and parts for (best I can tell) earlier styles.Unit is back on the truck and working properly at this time.Instructions were very helpful.Well after a week it’s leaking out between the master cylinder and booster. Original main seal looked a little more robust compared to the new one in the kit. I chalked it up to expanding from age. I was wrong. And I’m 100% sure I did not tear it. Thinking this is the wrong kit for a 99 now.Replacing the whole unit at this point.

These work just fine. Old ones weren’t much to compare to. Leak free.

The seals are incorrect size for hydroboost. seal is too thin and allows fluids to come around the parts.

The rubber seems to be of good quality, some of them weren't shaped the same as what we were trying to replace, wasn't sure if it was because the old ones are worn, unit still leaks, new seals didn't repair anything. Went to the provided link for instructions it was a dead link, so there were no instructions just a bag of fittings and gaskets. Sink or swim style.

The seals worked well. The figure 8 case seal is thinner in width than the factory seal, but is still quite sufficient to seal the case. It's the only reason I give this four instead of five stars. I have one more hydroboost to rebuild and will buy another seal set. Just be careful not to roll the piston seal lip when assembling the case halves.

O rings worked great. Used motorex grease on the new rings when installed. For 2005 tahoe,you'll only use 3 of these so don't buy this kit, just get the basic one. Rebuilt hydro booster, installed with new o-rings on booster hard-lines which WON'T come in this kit. Also with new ac Delco PS fluid. No leaks, brakes are awesome!

I bought this to repair the hydroboost on my 2004 Chevrolet Silverado 3500. The part took a while to ship and there were a lot of pieces in the kit that were not necessary for my model. The parts worked on my fixing of the leak in my Hydro Boost but after about 3 years and around60,000 kms the hydraboost failed. This is not an issue with the parts in this kit the old as the hydroboost was not leaking when I had to change it. The cost however of this kit is about half of a of a rebuilt Hydro Boost. Rebuilding mine was interesting experience but for overall cost-effectiveness I would say it is better to buy new or rebuilt.
