If you want to add another element to your garden/landscape but don't want to spend a lot of money. This is perfect.
GOGOOUT Solar Outdoor Fountain Water Pump Kits Solar Power Water Fountain with 1.2W Solar Panel for Birdbath, Fish Tank, Small Pond, Garden Decoration It is getting warmer around here and I'm getting ready for Spring, saw these fountains and thought they would be so fun in my bird bath. When it came it was smaller than I imagined, but when I hooked it up I love it. It has over a foot spray and the pump has little suction cups that hook to the bottom, my bird bath is made out of some kind of a hard plastic not sure if they would suction to terra cotta or anything cement though, you could use decorative rock to hold it down if you need to. The solar panel is small and can be hidden in your landscape but does need the direct sun or it will not work. If you want to add another element to your garden/landscape but don't want to spend a lot of money. This is perfect.

Works okay, doesn't stick.
For the price, it's an okay fountain. I knew it wouldn't shoot the water up very high, I just bought it because it's solar powered and I needed something to keep my horses' water circulating to keep mosquitoes from thinking it was a good idea to breed in it. Unfortunately, it didn't really work even for that because I couldn't get the tiny little 1/2 suction cups on the bottom to stick to ANYTHING. After trying it in the horses' water and realizing it wouldn't stick, I tried it on several other things just to see where it would stick, including a ceramic plate. The suction cups held on okay for about three seconds, and then let go. I didn't send it back because I'm still hoping to find a way to hold it down for what I want.... but I wouldn't buy another one.

Have Two in Continuous Use, Bought one for a Friend and Another for Myself-Love Them!!
I've purchased several of these over the years and am happy to report that they all are still working. I mostly use them as a fountain feature in my water gardens and they are setup in May and go until I shut things down for winter. I originally wanted them for the hummingbirds and am pleased to report that they do use them on a regular basis for baths-it's quite wonderful to behold! In reading other people's posts about this and other like products, there appears to be some issues, so here is some feedback on these issues and some potential ways of solving them:A) Yes, it is a solar powered fountain and thus requires the sun to work. If the sun is bright then the power coming from the solar panel will produce a lovely big push of energy that will allow for a full fountain effect. However, if there is not sufficient sunlight then the fountain will pulse little sprays. This is NORMAL and does not mean that the unit is not functioning properly.B) Sometimes the pumps just stop working.....yup, it happens and if you read the instructions that come along with the fountain it will tell you how to resolve this. I recently had one of my pumps that I've had for 3 years stop working, so I pulled it apart (which is easy to do) and did a rinse out of the internal parts in fresh water. There must have been something stuck in the propeller part of the pump because after doing this, it sprang back to life. If your pump just stops working it is likely due to a piece of crud being stuck in the internal mechanism. Take it apart and give it a rinse. Simple.Bottom line-these pumps are awesome!

Nope.
Ugh. Better fish in the ocean. From the get go, this pump never worked properly, it only spurt water even when the sun was bright. After couple of days, it totally stopped working. Please note, these pumps only work when exposed to direct sunlight and I'm ok with that.. I have a water fountain originally with an electric connection and I was able to easily convert it to solar using a 1.6 V pump. This GOGOOUT pump is only 1.2 which is exactly what I was looking for to use on a bird bath. Time to return and reorder. This pump it's a NO for me.

Works great.
This pump is almost perfect. As soon as the sun hits the solar panel, I have a fountain of water about 18" tall in my birdbath with the sweetest sound. Every day since it arrived, I've spent way too much time on the patio.A few years ago, I had a solar pump just like this one that cost about $30. The only difference: the expensive one had a little plastic stake that attached to the solar panel and stuck in the ground. This one doesn't have a way to attach it to anything. But, for the price, I can easily rig something up. This product is super.

Very good deal for a cute little pump.
I love that the solar panel is tiny- like the size of a CD case, and the cord is long, and un-pluggable. I bought clear vinyl tubing at the hardware store, because I wanted the water to go into a bog garden about 2 feet above the level of the pond. The pump is powerful enough to lift the water up while the sun is shining, but as others have mentioned, when the panel is shaded it does not pump. For my purposes, this is fine, since water flowing through my little bog garden does not have to be constant. It is a much better alternative to paying an electrician to bury an electric line to my pond, and running a pump all the time.

Works as it should even though in screen room.
Works! It maybe throws the water about 4 to 5 inches on a good sunny day but I have it inside a screen room so the screen actually blocks some of the sun's rays. I made a cage of screen to keep anything from getting into pump, cut about 5 inches by 1 inch and zip tie it to pump. It makes a small well of clean water for pump to draw from. It does stop or run intermittently if there is shade on panel, but there is no battery to worry about so that's the trade off. I'm thinking of trying to add a super capacitor to the panel, it has spots to solder to, could even add another panel in if you wanted!

It may be better suited for a very small fountain and must have ...
This pump does not have the power that I needed for my fountain project. The spouts are very tiny and the motor power is fairly weak. It may be better suited for a very small fountain and must have absolutely direct sunlight on the panel for long periods during the day in order to continuously pump. Mine will sporadically pump little spouts of water only during the late afternoon when the sunlight hits the panel directly for a short time.
