This fan is incredible, and has made a huge difference in my life this summer
I bought this fan on a whim about six months ago, remembering how hot the previous summer was. I felt a bit stupid at the time - I'm going to spend well over $150? For a fan? But I've been annoyed by cheap fans in the past, so I figured if I was going to get one, I might as well go all out. I am not normally one to write reviews. But I am not kidding you when I say that this fan has changed my life. It's one of the best purchases I've ever made. This fan is AMAZING. I live in a studio apartment, on the top floor with large sunny windows. Because of this, when it's warm out, my apartment gets HOT, and the air lingers at night. We have a small window air conditioner, which is excellent unless the temperature gets above 90 or so, in which case the AC doesn't knock down the heat nearly enough. I have trouble sleeping unless it's cool, so this is a big deal, especially at night. Summers are normally brutal for me, and I'm usually significantly less productive in those months due to the heat. Enter the fan. The first thing you need to know is that this thing is POWERFUL. I know many of the reviews say as much, but it's hard to describe just how much of a ridiculous punch this thing packs. Even when it's a hundred degrees outside and my apartment would normally be sweltering, I've only had to bump it up to level 3 once or twice, and I legitimately cannot imagine a situation in which I'd need to put it on level 4. Most of the time, level 1 is more than enough; when it's quite warm, level 2 is great. Now, this doesn't mean you're going to be living in a wind tunnel. Since the fan is an air circulator, it's very good at spreading out the air - sure, you can stand directly in front of it and get a quick cooling blast, but you'll mostly use it to efficiently cool down the entire room, without feeling like you're standing on a windy mountaintop. Of course, with more power comes more noise. Is it exceptionally loud for its output? Nope! Quite the opposite. But big fans on high blast make a lot of noise, there's no way around that, so don't be surprised. (I personally love white noise, and it's not like the fan makes an obnoxious grinding sound or anything - it's very smooth - so this isn't a problem for me at all.) Of course, it's a trade-off: on the days when it's 100 degrees and you're sweltering, you're gonna want the most powerful fan you can get, and a bit of noise is a small price to pay, which is probably why you're thinking about buying a $180 fan in the first place. Level 1 is pretty silent. Level 2 is noticeable for a few minutes, then you forget about it (when I sleep I usually have the fan on level 2, 6-10 feet from the foot of the bed, and it's fine). Level 3 is loud, but you'll never use it unless it's so hot you don't care, or you're in a larger space. Level 4, I have to admit, is quite absurd, but it's also what you're paying the big bucks for: a fan blast is so powerful you could set it up 30 feet away and still feel it. Perfect for a large garage / workshop space. All in all, I am SO GLAD I bought this thing. Is it more power than I need? Maybe! But the lower levels work spectacularly, and I'd much rather have the option of blasting it and cooling any room down instantly than wishing I'd bought a more powerful fan every time it gets really hot. The air circulation aspect is amazing, it really cools the entire apartment down, the dog loves laying in front of it, and it's made a tremendous difference for my sleep this summer. The fact that you can turn it on and IMMEDIATELY be cool, no matter the heat, makes it worth every single penny. Now that I have it, I can't imagine life without it. Five stars.

My XPower FC-300 2100cfm Axial Air Mover IS DOWNRIGHT AWESOME!
I want to state at the outset that this is a pricey unit when compared to some Chinese-made fans on the market, but I assure you the investment is well worth it because it is BUILT TO LAST and just plain WORKS--splendidly! I've been through several fans and I am all but permanently soured on LASKO brand fans and their blue X-Blower 6-Position Utility Blower Fan was the biggest waste of money and an enormous disappointment due to improperly molded internal impeller that wobbled just enough (especially at higher speeds) that it made an awful rubbing sound and high pitched squeal that only worsened with further use. The impeller was rubbing on the case internally and that damaged the impeller to the point that it couldn't be repaired, so rather than buy replacement parts from Lasko when the darn thing was not yet 2 months old, I began in-depth research for a permanent replacement! Enter the XPower FC-300. WHOA. THIS THING TOTALLY BLEW MY MIND. It came FULLY ASSEMBLED, well packed and was in use within less than 3 minutes of delivery to my front door. Astonishingly effective air mover that is built like a tank. It is heavy-duty yet deceptively lightweight, truly portable and the darn thing is so easy to aim AND keep positioned precisely where intended--unlike my VORNADO, which has NEVER been rock solid nor capable of being tightened to the point that it doesn't slowly or too easily rotate upwards or downwards away from the intended target. The XPOWER sits firmly and squarely on the food and it doesn't conduct unwanted oscillations or transmit annoying vibrations through our wood floors due to the design of the tubular steel stand that includes uniquely shaped rubber 'feet' that are non-marring on delicate surfaces while being solid and isolating in nature. The 4 speeds are a true blessing rather than the curse that was the XBlower by Lasko--which roared like a freight train BEFORE it began the vibrating and squealing. This XPower axial fan is almost inaudible on its lowest setting and barely audible on 2. At 3, it's noticeable but not aggravating....heck you could watch TV or hold conversations with it on 3 and not feel like you're having to shout. 4 is max and it is loudest but because of the design and build quality of this thing it is NOT a rattling, buzzing, humming, howling series of sounds that create so much aural over stimulation that it is fatiguing and intolerable to sleep near. On the contrary, the steady amount of white noise is comforting to my partner and I run the fan on 3 or 4 when I want to be able to move around and complete chores etc.,while not waking him up....and he's a light sleeper. So the noise is actually a very good thing that prevents arguments and keeps us both cool to boot! The thing move ton of air at every speed. My Vornado claims the same number of CFM, but it simply doesn't match the XPower FC-300 and the Lasko XBlower can't come close to moving as much air, even on its highest setting. The Vornado which is a 3 speed fan would require 2 more speeds to match the output of the FC-300 and it is already near equally loud on its highest setting as the XPower is on its 3rd speed! Have been using my XPower axial blower since November 2021 and wouldn't trade it for any other fan. Plan on replacing the other Lasko all metal garage fan that is so loud I can barely concentrate on my projects in there due to the roar and rumbling....I will absolutely be purchasing another XPOWER blower for the garage / shop area...probably the 3000 cfm model. Highly, highly recommended Cheers!

Excellent product. A lot of breeze for not a lot of noise
Before buying this product, I looked at buying several different sizes of this product, but based on my needs arrived at the FC-300. I was worried the fan would be too large and therefore likely to be too loud. After attaching the legs to the fan, I realized that the fan is actually surprisingly small. In turning it on, I realized that while it doesn’t operate silently, the noise level is better than expected and hardly noticeable well away from it despite feeling the circulation. I have been working under our home for weeks, initially concerns over air loss in the ducts and insulation which had seen better days led me to an increasingly larger and larger project. Initially the crawl space was comfortable to work in, but as I tightened up problems with the duct work the basement grew increasingly uncomfortable. I tried a couple of fans but they didn’t have the reach, so I began my search for air circulators on Amazon. This product is perfect for my use. The house is just under 100 feet wide and the entrance to the crawl space is at one end. The area is further dived in half by masonry piers and the return and supply ducts. Placing the air circulator in the opening I can feel fresh air moving over about 75% of the area. The air seems to blow up one side the crawl space, hit the foundation and come down the other side about half way. Only the area just opposite the entrance gets stuff which another regular fan I have sitting at the entrance covers that area. I estimate I would have had to place 5 or 6 fans around the crawl space to simulate the circulation I get with the product and a lasko fan. Even better using fans alone would not have circulated fresh air. I can see using this product for a variety of uses on those hot days where the air seems stagnant and the humidity is rampant. Placing the fan at one end of a screened in porch would do wonders for comfort, as well as tasks like washing a boat at the dock or washing a car. In another lake house we care for that is for the most part empty, I could for see using a product like this coupled with a smart outlet, to come on intermittently and reduce the stale smell in the house. I have a huge 24” floor fan that my wife says sounds like you are on the runway of an active airport. I rarely use it because of the noise, fascinatingly this fan produces an equal amount of airflow (maybe even more) at a fraction of the noise level. I realize now that this fan is constructed very similarly to the greens fans which you will find at some golf courses. They create a lot of circulation quietly. However, if you have ever priced a fan like that you will now that this one comes at a mere fraction of the price. I would absolutely recommend this fan to anyone who needs to create air circulation. By the way the impact of having this fan circulate fresh air through out the crawl space has been dramatic. Update: I also found that you can place a conventional pleated air filter on intake side of the fan if you are using the fan where dust is an issue. I do recommend using a middle of the road MERV filter so the fan doesn’t get starved for air. This fan unlike many I have owned is a joy to clean because the design is quite intuitive.

Powerful fan capable of a 20+mph wind.
I bought this fan to counter my inefficient ac in my 1000sqf apartment. With out a fan I need the ac on 70 degrees to sleep and it runs continually all night long and when it's hot my electric bill jumps a 100 dollars a month. Now with this fan on level 2 circulating the air around my apartment I can keep the ac around 74-76 and it only comes on a few times a night. The fan is amazing. The highest level is a little loud but it shoots out an incredible 20 mph wind. For a fan his size its quite impressive. I have compared this fan to the 16 inch commercial electric turbo fan and the Vornado 660. Both great fans btw. I used an Anemometer to measure the wind speed. Vornado=15mph wind Commercial Electric=19mph Fc-300=22 mph Standard box fan= 9mph(for reference) As for noise. The fc300 is nice and quiet on level 1. Level 2 is manageable but you will definitely hear it. Level 3 and 4 are loud enough where watching TV gets hard. The Vornado is the quitest but only outs out 580cfm where this one does 2100. The fc300 has about the same cfm on low vs the Vornado on high. And the fx300 on low is quiter then the Vornado on high. Now since this is an air circulator it should be able to throw a nice collum of air a far ways. So I measured the air flow at 17 feet away from the fan and all 3 fans Fc300 hit 8 mph Commercial Electric hit 6.5mph Vornado 660 hit 2.4 mph This fan circulates air around my apartment like I've never seen. On high there is literally wind any where I stand. It's fantastic. Final thoughts The Fc-300 is a remarkable fan. The commercial electric fan is half the price but this fan is much lighter as it's make of ABS and it's 2 inches smaller then the commercial electric. The cord is long and durable and all you need to do is wrap it around the fan it's self and clip it to it's own cord. The only negative is the loudness on level 3 and 4. But you can't get 20mph of air movement without a lot of noise. Vornado is the quitest the commercial electric and then the fc300. There is a direct coralation between the amount of air being thrown out and noise level. This fan can easily reach over 100 feet if I had room where as the Vornado would max out at 50feet Imo even though they claim 100 feet. Imo this fan is worth every penny. It's destroyes the Vornado in preformace and it looks cooler. I'm not knocking the Vornado I just feel it should have higher max level.

I recently purchased the XPOWER FC-300 Heavy Duty Industrial High Velocity Whole Room Air Mover and I have to say, it's been a great addition to my workspace! This fan is very powerful and has a variable speed control, allowing me to adjust the airflow to my liking. The timer feature is also very convenient, as it allows me to set it up and forget about it. The fan is also very durable and well-built, making it perfect for heavy-duty use. The only downside to this fan is that it doesn't have a power outlet to run another fan off of, which would have been a nice feature to have. However, overall I'm very satisfied with my purchase and would highly recommend the XPOWER FC-300 Heavy Duty Industrial High Velocity Whole Room Air Mover to anyone looking for a powerful and durable fan for their workspace. It deserves a 4-star rating.

Best fan for 1 room maybe more
Probably the best fan you can get for the size, it is phenomenal. I was gonna buy one of those full size 30" factory fans because of how hot my room gets but I settled for this one thats a little under 20" and I understand now that this is just simply leagues better, it's not too big, but it packs a punch, it doesnt use a lot of power either so that's sweet. It's got 4 speeds and a timer you can set, speed #4 can be felt like a gust of wind all the way across a 300 sqft room. Speed #1 can still be felt across the room as a breeze. From what I've seen, it can successfully cool a my room from 85 degrees f all the way down to 76 degrees f. 76 degrees plus a windchill feels amazing imo. The build seems very structurally sound. 10/10 would order 100 more if my wallet allowed it

Gamechanger: Efficient, powerful, and can be quiet
The XPower FC-300 is absolutely a game changing fan. Heretofore, I had been buying Patton Air Circulators after working one hot humid summer as a teen in a warehouse with a broken AC, but we sold those Pattons and we stood in front of them to cool down. The temperatures were above 100, but this was back in the day when they could get away with that. I would leave work and sweat would squish out the perforations in my sneakers. So when I state these XPowers are gamechangers, I can state it with authority. I am now on my third FC-300 and I also have a variable speed green 250 that is perfect for gently and whisper quietly blowing over my bed for a comfortable night's sleep. The blue 300s can be kept on the low setting at 1 and you can barely hear them, yet, they move a lot of air at that lowest setting. The 360 degree swivel adds to their flexible use in blowing air directly on me or often pointed up to the ceiling for whole apartment circulation. I might add you will blow air directly at yourself at the 1 or at most 2 setting, because it would be too much otherwise. They are still fairly quiet at the 2 setting where they start to show they can blow. I rarely need to turn them up beyond 2, unless experiencing a string of mid-nineties or above temps with high humidity. They move a lot of air for a relatively small footprint, smaller than my one remaining Patton, but move more air than the Patton AND do so much quieter than the Patton. The Patton on the lowest of the three settings at 1 is louder than the blue 300s on 2 and about equal to the 300s at 3. However, the barrel housing of the XPowers, along with their fan design, produces a different and less turbulent quality of sound compared to the Patton. The quality of the XPower sound is closer to less intrusive white noise. The XPowers are more compatible with residential living: phone conversations, listening to the television and stereo, taking calls on Teams or Zoom meetings, and sleeping. They are an attractive blue and can fit right in with residential use, but they can be durable shop floor beasts should you turn them up. I use them in conjunction with an evaporative cooler while I get approval for electrical work and AC installation in my co-op. The blue 300s move the humidified and cool air from the swamp cooler through my apartment and out the window quickly and far quieter than the swamp cooler. These fans are indispensable for keeping me cool through these hot summers and preventing the buildup of humidity and mold in my apartment. My electric bills running three FC-300s and the big swamp cooler are far less than when I had AC.

I just bought a third
I seldom write product reviews, but I have been so impressed with the quality of this fan that I believe it warrants my accolades. I originally bought this fan to help circulate airr between the floors in my house. My dad was so impressed with the quality of the fan, that I got him one for Christmas. Days after it arriving my basement flooded. Boy was I sure glad to have two of these fans on hand! It's made quick work of drying out large sections of my basement and flooring. I've run these fan for multiple days on end, and have had no issues. So now I'm buying a third one to replace my dad's gift, and I'm not even mad about it.
