SKIL PWR CORE 20 22" 20V Hedge Trimmer Kit, 3/4'' Cut Capacity Including 2.0Ah Battery and Charger-HT4222B-10

Switching to Skil cordless tools from Greenworks, as the latter's batteries are truly impressive but the units themselves do not seem to last. I am extremely happy with the performance of this unit, used to hack at nests of vines taking over my woods. Lightweight, comfortable, easy to use, and reasonably priced. There is also a 40v unit for those with heavier tasks.

Bought this on sale for prime day along with a weed whip and leaf blower from Skil. Figured I'd have two batteries to move between everything. Unfortunately this came with a 2 Ah battery and the weed whip came with a 4 Ah battery. I have a hard time faulting this kit though because a 2 Ah battery is plenty of run time for the trimmer whereas a 4 Ah battery isn't enough run time for the weed whip. So this is something to consider if you're buying this to get another battery to switch between tools.That little point aside I can't knock a star for it since the battery is fine for this equipment. It has plenty of power and I was able to trim all 6 of my hedges that had not been trimmed in 3 years on a single charge without a problem. Now I won't need to use it till next year probably. It had plenty of power and didn't bog down. The controls were a bit of a pain to get going as there is a safety and a button to engage but I got used to it. I like how light weight this is, only a smidge heavier than my corded model but without the 200 feet of cord to drag around.So long as it lasts a few years it should be a good fit. Also used it to trim down a decent sized field of weeds some 1/2" thick without much issue.

My wife does the hedges and asked me to find a solution to her electric clippers and extension cords so I did some research and found these. My wife loves them and particularly the light weight and ease of use.

The product performs well, and really does cut up to 3/4 inch diameter brush. The battery is good, but does run down more rapidly when cutting brush. I do not have a hedge to trim, but do have some grown-up brush and vegetation around my shop, and this product works very well for what I wanted.

Was nervous about this purchase. Not completely sure it was tough enough to do the job of cutting bamboo hedges. but I was pleasantly surprised after we tried it. Very easy to maneuver and cuts like magic. Not sure of battery life yet but resume it is OK. In any event, I have a four amp hour battery from my Skil saw to take its place if necessary. Recommend this product.

I have bought several hedge trimmers over the past years. Some the big battery makes it to heavy to hold very long. This is lighter and battery smaller but still strong. Doesn’t take long to recharge either. Best I’ve bought yet!❤️

For years I used a corded electric hedge trimmer. What a pain to drag out three extension cords then wrapping it over my neck to keep the cord out of the way. I didn’t trim the hedges as often as I should have. With this, I trim my hedges more often and it’s such a breeze. It has the power I need and battery life.Top purchase of the year!!

seems to work real well not sure on battery life yet only used it once and only for about 45 minutes but worked fine for that long
