I needed some 1" wire brads (actually 7/8" or 21mm), which is the type of nail I use most often, and found this selection. It seemed to be adequate, although the nails were very mixed up, despite the divided sections, but there was NO RUST. Believe it or not, I counted them. I ended up doing this because I had to sort them by size anyway and put them in their appropriate sections. My findings: Total nails -- NOT 550. There were 542, and of those, 5 were bent or defective. That left 537. Of the 16mm brads there were 151 (will probably never use these; they're so small). Of the 25mm nails there were 195. Of the 20mm nails there were 96. Of the 3 largest sizes there were only 28, 30 and 31. Here's the kicker: Of the one size I really needed, the 1" brad, there were exactly SIX ! I used 2 nails and they seemed to work just fine, but I still need to buy more 1" brads. With only 89 of the larger nails, this assortment won't go very far. Of course, another set could vary in numbers. I would only recommend this set for small craft projects, unless you intend on wasting most of the nails. Otherwise, I would NOT recommend it.

If you need to do minor furniture, repairs, putting picture frames together, hanging pictures, or anything that requires a small nail. This is a great assortment.

Perfect variety set for hanging pictures and small items. Nothing fancy, but I didn't need fancy! Just a decent set of nails for interior use. Unsure about bigger jobs, but worked fine for me.

Like some old guys I keep my nails and screws in recycled brown medicine vials. Getting a nice new assortment is much more organized! Also these are good quality.

This assortment was perfect for my needs. And the little case latches for storing.

This is a really great little nail toolkit. Has a really good variety of nails for many different applications. They have been very useful in hanging various things around my house. Strong and durable, they stay in place and get the job done. The little organization container is nice too. I just keep it in a drawer for whenever I need to hang something. Very useful to have around.
