I have purchased three Cuckoo rice cookers so far, and all of them failed within a year of use. For the first defective unit, I contacted the manufacturer hoping to get it repaired, but they wanted me to ship it to their U.S. service center which would cost over $200 for shipping alone. Adding the repair cost on top of that, it made more sense to just buy a new one rather than repair it. So I had to discard the faulty unit. The second and third units faced the same issue of failing prematurely within a year. This time, I reached out to the Amazon seller for a replacement or refund, but they simply declined citing Amazon's 30-day return policy had lapsed, despite these being expensive $500 products. The seller showed absolutely no interest in making an exception or finding a solution - they just kept copy-pasting generic responses. Not only did the product itself fail to last even a year despite its premium pricing, but the customer service from both the manufacturer and the seller was extremely poor. The manufacturer expected me to pay exorbitant shipping fees, and the seller outright refused any kind of make-good solution like a replacement or refund. It is unacceptable for a $500 appliance to conk out within a year repeatedly. I have been forced to simply discard three faulty units without any resolution from either party. Prospective buyers, please beware and reconsider purchasing this terribly unreliable product with absolutely non-existent after-sales support.

My daughter had been using one and it makes delicious rice. So I bought same one. I am very much satisfied with this one. I highly recommend.
