I give my dog Royal Canin dry kibbles and put the Blue Buffalo wet food on top. There is never a morsel left. His weight is perfect and he has a healthy coat from feeding him this dog food every day.

i have an Australian Shepard. she is a rescue from Hawaii, so we are not 100% sure of how old she is. we have had her for about 5 years now and when we picked her up they told us she was 3 years. that being said she normally eats dry kibble with a little bit of roasted chicken tossed in when she has been good all week. upon opening the can of food i was dreading the normal waft of 'canned dog food' smell. this however actually smelled like a can of stew. and not the cheep stuff either. the good stew that could pass as homemade. now Kelly does not get any table food so when she saw me upend the can into her food dish she looked at me with that known look, only a dog can give. her eyes asked the question, have you gone completely mad? she thought i was giving her table food. i replaced her dish to the floor where she eats and she would not touch it and still gave me the look. i was broken hearted and thought, what a waste of a good can of dog food. i turned to rinse the can out so i don't stink up the trash bin, when i turned back round to retrieve her dish to dispose of the wasted food that is when i noticed that my Kelly can perform magic. i looked into the dish and it was completely cleaned out. not a single spec left. she made the entire thing disappear in about 30 seconds.now with magic tricks like this i may take her on the road. i am not quite sure how she performs this disappearing act with the food, however she has done this about 5 times now and it completely amazes me every single time.

Blue Buffalo suggests that one can "FEED THREE WAYS: High protein BLUE Wilderness wet dog food makes a delicious treat adds interest mixed into your dog 's favorite dry foods or can be fed as a meal on its own". Well, I used it primarily to mix in and add interest to my dog's dry foods. I added about 1/4 can with each feeding to moisten things up, and my 70lb German/Aussie Shepard mix really seemed to enjoy it. And why not? A fairly homogeneous mixture, centered around Turkey and Chicken, this food definitely appealed to his canine sense of smell - the primary determinant in whether or not a dog will eat something offered to him. My dog is certainly not a picky eater, nor is he an avaricious gulper - he's somewhere in the middle. But he definitely has shown a past aversion to some foods. Bottom line - this food was a hit. And when used as a supplement it's do-able and affordable. Feeding this wet food alone to my 70lb boy would require about 3 cans/day - meaning that this $33 box of 12 would last 4 days. That's a lot of money. Necessary I suppose for some senior dogs with poor teeth, but not my older pup. It's a nutritious, (apparently) tasty supplement that I'll continue to purchase for my boy!

I have usually preferred stew-style dog food, probably because they're more appealing on a human level. (It's not clear that the dog cares!) But lately, I've been spoiling my pup by stirring a bit of canned food into her kibble, and this is such a nice consistency for that. I give her a large spoonful and mix it in, and store the rest in the fridge. This works better than other brands, where the refrigerated canned food can end up quite solid and difficult to mix in; that doesn't happen with this product.I am consistently happy with the quality of Blue Buffalo food, and use Blue Buffalo also as her regular kibble. I like that this company uses high-quality ingredients and leans toward meat as primary ingredients.

I like to add a topper of wet food to my dog's dry food so he will eat his whole meal at once. This canned food does the trick. I drop a few tablespoonfuls into his bowl, on top of the dry kibble, and he gobbles it up. He seems to really like the flavor of this food. He's had no digestive issues from consuming it.I give him some of this as a topper twice a day, so the can lasts several days. I cover the top and store the extra in my fridge until the next meal. Room temperature or cold from the fridge, my dog is very happy to have this addition to his meal.

I picked this up because I have used this in the past with my dogs. I just haven't gotten it from amazon before. This is a quality dog food that my dogs seem to love. I haven't had issues with their stomach or coats while using this one before so I don't expect any different out of this set of cans.My dogs have more sensitive stomach's but this still works well for them; helps one of my dogs to maintain a good weight.All in all I have had good luck with this food; will report back if something changes.
