Brilliant models, can't wait to get more.
I don't understand the negative reviews these models get, this is my second UGears model that I received yesterday, I've been working on it now for nearly 7 hours and have managed to complete the bike, I just need to build the side-car now. These are not meant to be thrown together in a couple of minutes, you need patience, time and lots of care, the pieces are delicate, however I have not broken anything yet, you need to ease them out of the boards, they are laser cut very precisely, only been held in place by a tiny part that you need to gently snap to release each piece. (I've tried to show this in a picture with badly drawn arrows)I'd recommend gently sanding the edges of each part to remove any burs left over from removing the piece, and wax everything that moves aswell. (I found a lit tealight candle and small paint brush very helpful in applying wax where needed)The only negative thing i have to say is the mechanics, although thoroughly enjoyable to assemble, it didn't matter how much sanding and waxing I did, I can't get it to run smoothly, but, with the time and effort it has taken to build these, I have no intention in playing with them, they will purely be ornamental.A few top tips I found helpfull:1. Use melted wax and a small paint brush (tealight candles work a treat)2. A pair of tweezers come in handy for handling the small pieces3. Nail clippers work brilliant for cutting the cocktail stick, instead of a knife)

Great Model
This model is quite complex .The parts are all numbered and the instructions are excellent with the construction iillustrated with easy to understand pictures .I did not break any parts being very careful and gently teasing the parts from the boards. The detail on this model is amazing with a sprung seat, independent suspension on all wheels and visible working pistons on the engine. It even has a kickstand that works. The sidecar is also detachable from the bike.It worked on completion as I followed the instructions to wax moving parts and lightly sanding any rough bits on the rotating surfaces. The only thing I would change about this model is I would make the sidecar wheel free spinning and not gear driven as it is now as it just adds more fiction to the drive chain.I was very impressed by the ingenuity of the design and the accuracy of the laser cut parts .Don't rush the build, check everything as you go,follow the instructions to the letter and you will end up with a great model that everyone who sees it will admire .

Over engineering
The model went together quite well but it doesn't work, once again those rubber bands are a nightmare the one good thing was they had the right sizes. Very easy to follow the instructions but some of them seamed to be out of orde. When you get to the clutch assembly it is also a nightmare ,very small parts and when assembled it doesn't work. Very disappointed with it but it looks ok as a ornament along with the other models that have rubber bands, they also don't work I only found that these models with a proper spring are good.

A great kit and gift idea
This is the second one of these kits I’ve bought for my husband and both have been fab. He cracked this one out in approx 18 hours split over a week.It is fiddly and challenging but that is the whole point! It’s meant to take a while to do, however there are lots of little parts and detailed instructions provided to enable you to make a really realistic motorbike and side car.The kits always have lots of little details, like movable wheels, keys, gears, petrol can etc etc that add an interactive element to them. These models are so intricate, we have both been really impressed with them.A fab gift and I will definitely be buying more.

Great fun, looks great and it moves
Bought this for my dad's birthday as he lives motorbikes and the fact this model moved and has moving parts made it stand out from other motorbike models. My dad loved making it, even the fiddly bits. My dad is in his 70's and wants to have a go at another one. Think I know what his father's Day present will be
