This is super convenient to have in the pantry. It's very easy to make and tasty. Really hope this product returns to Amazon Fresh at a good price!

I am a falafel connoisseur. I've made them from scratch, mixes, had them at restaurants.The minute I mixed the dry mix and water together I knew there was a problem. It just didn't look right (it also was very beige, not green at all.)I waited 10 minutes to let the dough set like it instructed.I cooked them and thankfully they didn't fall apart. But the mix tasted very gooey and doughy but also gritty.Never had this problem with a falafel mix before.The flavor was OK, but I really suggest getting Ziyad or Knorr.

I've been testing several different dried falafel mixes and this one comes closest to what I was looking for. However, I made a few changes: I added a teaspoon of baking powder so that the falafel patties rise a bit more and aren't so hockey-puck like. Adding a bit of extra water or lemon juice helps keep them more moist. If you want a little kick, you can add a dash of ground red pepper. Instead of frying and adding all that fat, I baked them on a parchment paper-lines pan at 400 degrees until puffy and beginning to lightly brown. Top with fat free yogurt mixed with lemon juice, chopped cucumber/onion/tomato/cilantro, chopped cabbage or lettuce mixed with vinegar, and serve in fresh warm whole wheat pita pocket halves. I wrapped the extra patties in foil and froze them for later use.

Close to homemade falafel mix. Very convenient.

This makes delicious falafel, and you can do so much more with it -- coat chicken with this instead of bread crumbs, or add it to meatloaf for an extra dash of flavor. I always keep some on hand.

Don't taste at all like Naf Naf's falafels.

I love this product. I will buy it again. Easy to follow directions. Tastes great!
