Elegant ans inexpensive!
These are made very well to be so inexpensive. I'm so satisfied I've bought them again for another window. It's exactly what I needed to hold curtains back during the day when we use our back door. They look elegant and easily hold my heavy curtains back in place. The installation was easy as well!

Product Works and Looks Good, But Cheap Screws and Drywall Anchors
These were pretty much exactly what we expected them to look. We ordered 5 of these to keep our self-installed curtains from closing on their own (because the curtain rod isn't thick enough to keep them scrunched up when open). However since there are studs in the wall right where we needed them, we first drilled pilot holes before using the included screws. The supplied screws unfortunately stripped really easily (soft metal), and the threads were not very sharp which made it difficult to even drill into the pilot hole. Also the included drywall anchors were pretty flimsy, they easily deformed when hammered into the wall with modest force. Our solution was to use general screws (from a box of 200 screws bought at your local hardware store). Aside from that these holdbacks work exactly as designed.

maybe use your own screws
The quality of this item is reflected in the low price. That said, I am happy with my purchase. The finish doesn't stand up to close scrutiny, but I'm not planning to spend that much time staring at my curtain holdbacks and they look ok from a short distance.About installation: my house is nearly 100 years old and all of the wood trim in it is really hard. I chose to install the holdbacks into the window trim rather than the adjacent drywall and the cheap screws that were included were so soft they stripped out right away. I used some screws I purchased at the hardware store instead and those were fine. If I had chosen to use the anchors and drill into my drywall they probably would have been fine, so just FYI here if you are also planning to drill into wood.

Excellent tiebacks, but...
...don't use the included drywall anchors. They are the "tap-in" type, and I have never had luck with those. Buy a package of screw-in drywall anchors. You'll thank me later.USER ERRORIt didnt help that I set the tiebacks to screw in right over the metal window flashing that runs all the way down the window. The outside screws were set in anchors because they missed the metal flashing. The inside screws are flopping about because they won't grip the flashing. I tried drilling a larger hole in the flashing to get an anchor in anyway, but only ended up destroying two inches of the wall. I am going to "repair" it with some Gorilla Glue in hopes that the glue will hold the screw in place inside the metal flashing. Good thing the curtains cover it anyway.

Affordable and Stylish
I bought some new curtains for my living room and only had tie-backs from the old curtains (that severely clashed with the new curtains). So, I was on the prowl for new tie-backs or hold-backs. I loved the idea of this type of hold-back (seems pretty easy to use, minimal fuss) but was surprised to find out how expensive most of them are! I stumbled across this set and decided to give it a go. It has the simplistic look I prefer and was super cheap. The set was easy to install and the screws are rather long so it feels very secure in the wall. The knob unscrews to give you easier access to attach the hold-backs to the wall. It looks great when the curtains are closed or open. They are insanely easy to use; I'm very pleased with this purchase.

Bali Blinds Generic Holdbacks, Satin Nickel
like most items I have purchased, I received in a timely manner. I will say you get what you pay for. Items while nice definitely appear to be cheaply made (but I excepted this when I purchased the items.) Easy to install, Easy to use, just be careful as I feel it wont take much effort to bed them. Hopefully that will not be the case.

Good quality. Sturdy. Pretty
These are good quality for the price. Not cheap or bendy like some. This color looks nice with my smoky blue velvet curtains in the bedroom, and compliments mirror frame and other accent pieces.

Cheap Anchors
These work great, if you can install them. The plastic anchors bent has we gently pushed and attempted to hammer them into the wall per the instruction manual. This rendered them useless. We were able to install one hold back using the anchors. However, we already drilled our pilot holes for a second hold back and didn’t have anchors to install the second hold back because two of them were bent and broken from trying to install our first one. The pilot holes were then too large to install the hold back with just the screws provided. I would install them without the provided anchors, if possible, given their quality is poor, or purchase your own anchors. Otherwise, once installed they look good and hold back our medium to light weight curtain panels. If hanging heavy fabric you may need to install with anchors.
