Posssibly the Best Choice For Your Valuable Collectibles
These sleeves are super heavy duty and fit snug, they seem to offer a higher level of protection than other sleeves I have tried. Clarity is also top notch, of all the sleeves I have tried record spines are easiest to read through the seam with these. They are open on one end so dust protection is not as complete as the sleeves that have flaps (but the snug fit helps, Groove Vinyl does indeed make a version with a flap, I'll have to try those). There is not much in the way of give so good luck getting gatefold covers in these (Groove Vinyl also makes a larger gatefold/double LP size). I like these for albums that are in pristine shape and with spectacular cover art. They are expensive though so I give them 4 stars, if my budget would allow me to be only concerned with quality I'd easily give 5 stars. I have not heard of the material they are made from (vinyl) being reactive with cover inks or paper (possibly a concern with polyethylene - not sure I spelled that correctly - sleeves especially at higher room temperatures and with the acidic cardboard stock used on some older album covers) These appear to be a good choice for valuable collectibles, provided they fit.(they may not on some larger older album jackets like Mercury Living Presence or RCA Living Stereo, the larger version would likely work). Be advised that as these are made from vinyl they can store surface static electricity just as a record can, should not be any more of a problem than is already posed by the records themselves. Now the best thing to do would be for us to abandon our stupid computers and spin some vinyl to feed our souls -- enjoy -- whatever your musical taste may be.

Oversized are perfect, standard are tight, packaging may be an issue
From worst to best...my sleeves arrived not very well packaged, resulting in a tri-folded and twice creased bunch of liners, which does not effect the functionality, but does not do much for the aesthetic. I want my records to look good and the creases detract. I flattened the liners under stacks of books for 2 weeks, providing some but not total crease relief.Second, as the headline says, I find the standard size is a little tight even for single, non-gate fold albums sometimes resulting in the plastic splitting when sleeving the records.Third, the Oversize sleeves work perfect for double and even up to quadruple LP albums with gate fold covers. If not for the packaging fold, the sleeves look great, as clear as you could want. If, no, *when I buy again (and this is my second purchase), I will go back to the oversize only package and hope for better luck in shipping (my first order of strictly oversize "jimmy hats" arrived without folding/crease issues.

These things are simply fantastic!
Made of crystal clear shiny "archival" vinyl so the album art shows wonderfully. Really lets the album art shine! Seriously. I've had my albums in these cheap record protection outer sleeves for years and they always depressed me by how "baggy" they looked and felt. These are like shiny clear raincoats or a thin clear shower curtains or something... I believe if and when they get dusty they will be easily cleanable and they definitely seem durable. I was able to fit a 180 gram gate-fold LP into one pretty easily if anyone is wondering. I just wish this company will eventually come out with a wider version for box sets.I am of course all excited now to finally be able to see my record covers after years of looking at them through the equivalent of thick sandwich bags. I just got these so I haven't really tested how they will work out in the long run but I expect that they will perform admirably. I will update this review if anything goes amiss. Right now I'd just like everyone to buy some so the company will stay in business because I'm not sure I could ever go back to the horrible days of those other outer sleeves...So buy them! Use them to store CD's! worried about wet socks? Wear them on your feet! They look waterproof! Protect your eyes from spiders with them! They might hold juice! Great for storing vinyl but why stop there?

The BEST protectors!
I got the combo pack because I only needed a few standard an 2 oversized one, anyway they both fit great they are nice an thick as well. The only reason it dont get 5 stars for me is that there isn't a flap to fold into the protector that would of made these 5 stars but I just taped the lip down so no dust will get in. They really are amazing vinyl protectors and at a reasonable price. I would defenintly recommend these. They standard one will fit a single vinyl with no gatefold but it will fit a single vinyl with a gatefold very tightly. The oversized fits my double album vinyl with gatefold perfectly. Hope my review helps anyone trying to buy these. (UPDATED) To my surprise the company read my review and and saw how taped down my lip and sent me out the same pack I purchased only with a flap so I didn't have to take it down. Truly a customer friendly company they defenintly surprised me when I came home to another package of vinyl sleeves. So I take my 4 stars an give them 5 because other than me taping the lip that was my only issue an now I don't have to use tape with the new ones they sent!!!

Keep it Mint, baby!
Not cheap, but who cares? You spend a lot of money on vinyls when you buy them new, spend an extra $0.70 each and give it a clear vinyl protection that is thick enough to withstand some abuse. Keep what's mint, mint. If most of your records are 30+ years old and already all banged up, this may not be what you're looking for. But if you want to be the guy selling mint LPs 30 year down the road for top dollar, you'll be happy you bought this. Some of my gatefolds BARELY fit into this, but they fit nonetheless despite going in sideways.UPDATE: I'm not entirely sure if I just got a bad batch of these, or if this is what I should expect from future orders but out of my most recent 50 I probably had 20 that split/tore on the sides and there wasn't even gatefolds involved. Just single LPs. Odd, but enough to lose a star given the price. I don't know if this is just a quality control issue or fluke - will update after next order.

Whether you collect mostly new or previously owned records, these sleeves are a must have.
So I am just getting around to properly protecting and storing my record collection, just had a storage crate to keep ever tying in. I am starting to worry about the life of my cover art. I've done some looking around trying to figure out what the best sleeve to get would be. I didn't realize that there was such an array of options and varying quality. I got these on a friends recommendation and so far I am extremely impressed.First off Canadian company. Might not be local here in Calgary, but its always nice when I can keep my cash inside Canada. The sleeves shipped fast without any delays or issues, pretty standard for most amazon sellers these days, but always worth mentioning. When the box showed up I was really surprised at the weight it had. The 4mm vinyl has a good feel in the hand, and the quality of the plastic is obvious. So far all of the records I have put into these things have fit perfectly. These things are great, I mean it's hard to rave about an album sleeve but truly, they have become a part of my new storage process for my records. Not much else I can probably say, if you have a good collection of records its worth the investment to get sleeves to keep them safe. I am planning to buy an order or two more of these very soon once I get the first batch taken care of.Whether you collect mostly new or previously owned records, these sleeves are a must have.

Thick, Heavy but not as spacious as hoped
While these are "oversized" they aren't a great fit for some of the bulkier special editions you might have. I have some 3 and 4LP special editions that I bought these specifically to protect and I had to sleeve them sideways instead of top down. Disappointed in that they fail to fit the items I really specifically bought them to protect. The Plan Janes are probably a better product overall and I've used them many times.

Hands down best sleeve anywhere!
Without exception, these are the best record sleeves available. Previously made with a flap, these open ended sleeves are perfect for regular use. Flapped version is ideal for long-term storage. Five mil plastic is thickest, clearest on the market. Quality plastic should not yellow or crack over time - they are just soft and pliable enough to feel good in your hands. Did I say crystal clear? Groove Vinyl has a winner here, if they’d only make some more.

Like the quality. Works for me.
Not the cheapest, but one of the best quality sleeves available. These are thick and shiny. Anyone and everyone who sees albums in my collection with one of these on always makes positive comments. Many of the others sold out there are cloudy and flimsy. Why bother. Two caveats. Some very thick LPs will cause the seams to split. Amazon sometimes ships these in an oversized box such that they scrunched in shipment. They should secure these better or use a slightly smaller box.I would recommend and buy again.

Good for single discs, bad for thick vinyl or double disc LPs
These are made of a thick, high quality vinyl that is exceptionally clear compared to most sleeves. They do not give a lot of wiggle room for thicker vinyl and double-disc albums however. In addition to my complaint regarding the lack of wiggle room, because they are such a thick plastic, the top layer is heat-pressed to the back and I had a couple that partially splits while trying to squeeze in double disc albums.Great if you only have single disc non-gatefold vinyl from thinner pressings, otherwise don’t expect these to be a guaranteed fit.
