Oh! So very cool!
I run two separate stereo systems. One reason is I am constantly trying out new systems to see which one I want to keep. The same for speakers. Bring them in, try them out, move them on if they don’t meet the cut. This little device is a wonder for that! Don’t have to crawl around rewiring speakers from one receiver to the other. I can have two receivers hooked up to the same CD player (using another device) and switch speakers seamlessly while it is playing. It’s a dream for comparisons - or just for deciding which system I want to play one particular CD on.There is absolutely no hum or any interference when using this. I run my A speaker outputs from my receivers to the box, then run from there two two sets of speakers. I have added a third speaker set by simply connecting that one to the B output from one of the receivers. Could have 4 sets of speakers set up to run by flicking switches if I wanted to (but can only “compare” two sets at a time) - or get another box like this and run the Bs to it!What else can I say? So very cool!

Very pleased
I hesitated to buy this due to the presence of low-quality A-B speaker switches on the market. However, I am very happy with this item given its high-quality construction and performance. Bear in mind it is capable of switching between two amps and two speaker systems. More than simply a speaker switch, it is a “crossover.”Speaker connections support spade lugs, banana plugs and straight wire through/around the posts...very flexible...though there is not a lot of room between the amp connectors nor between the speaker connectors, making it difficult to use spade lugs for all connections, which I’d prefer. So I am using banana plugs.

Works great
I used this to test out new speakers and amps side by side. Doing these tests would literally be impossible without something like this and every time I do blind audio tests I'm shocked by the results. Great product.

Great multi amp solution!
I use this to switch between a Primaluna tube amp for music and a Denon receiver I use for surround sound. Super easy to set up, and dead quiet when switching. As others have stated, spacing is tight so use banana plugs. Great well built solution.

OK for Basic Listening, Some Cautions Needed
The box itself is solid, with good action on the front-panel switches. Terminal strips on rear also strong, with combo-screw/banana plug in-and outputs. British design, with manufacture in Taiwan. Sounded like a good combination. This is a passive system, meaning it's just a switch. Not powered, so no indicators. A little tough to see in a dim listening room.My less than great rating is due to the fact that the unit won't function safely for one of the tasks I bought it for: amplifier comparison. I often run two amps depending on listening preference of volume and content. Had hoped to be able to compare amps as a comparator system using the box. However, because of the loud POP! that occurs even at 0 dB to the speakers, this is not safe. To compare, I have to disconnect speakers via preamp switch, reduce gain to 0 with both amps, then bring everything back up. When using single amp for general or critical listening, which is what I do 98% of the time, the box is fine and needs no attention.I am somewhat disappointed that unlike a preamp or receiver that can switch multiple pairs of loudspeakers without any aberrant or dangerous transients, switching using this device requires special handling. There's just not a lot out there that's well built and affordable, though. Still looking for something for the future.

Silent Switching!!!
This switch is better than I expected! All too often these type of switches impart a loud pop from the speakers when switching. The TEC is silent. I even tried it with the volume turned up to what would be about two o'clock on the dial and the switching was absolutely silent. The case is metal and while the switch push buttons are plastic, they have a quality feel to them and operate with a good quality feel. The inputs seem to be of good quality too as the banana jacks have a solid snug fit. This product is well made and seems like it will last many years. It is worth the asking price. I am using it to switch between two amplifiers and one set of speakers. Note to the company: Please don't try to improve or change this product. You have apparently achieved switch perfection; don't mess with it.

Terrible quality control. Not built right and obviously not checked.
This purchase was part of an update including new cables, which took hours to make and set up - with an AVR and an old school amp to drive my great old speakers and a subwoofer. This AB switch is exactly what I needed. It just needed to work and only run the main speakers. Somehow only the left channel was working. I re-checked all my cable work, switching and swapping cables over and over to find the problem. Then I started swapping cables on the back of my new selector switch to finally figure out that's where the problem was - in the box! I recalled seeing another review where the buyer had a similar problem and elected to open the box to determine the issue rather than returning it. I did the same and found TWO wires which weren't even attached though there was solder on the tabs to the pretty receptacles on the back. TWO unattached wires!!! Good grief! Sorry I didn't take a picture. At least I fixed the problem myself and had my system working in one day rather than undoing everything and returning the switch for another which would likely be just as bad.
