I loved this coffee dripper in the beginning but after one month I noticed it did not drip as fast as it had. The oils form a block in between the two mesh layers. I tried handwashing and dishwashing. I had a hard time finding a number to ask for help and when I called, they said I had to wash it with a toothbrush and Dawn. I tried that, I tried leaving it soak overnight then brushing and I also used a degreaser on it. It was a little better but quickly builds up again. I am still using it because I like it otherwise but it is a pain to keep clean. I don't think the company realizes this.

I bought this originally to save on filter usage. However, this product failed to work properly. I tried over 5 different grind settings and still the pour over would not filter the coffee properly. By the time the coffee trickles down and you have a full cup, the batch is cold.

This was part of a Birthday gift for my boyfriend, and he loves it! He's a backpacker and has seen these out in the field and thought they were really nice, sturdy, and you don't have to worry about your paper filters getting damp! We live in south Florida, so humidity and rain are a constant factor. So far it's been a win - win situation. His coffee tastes great (he's a Cuban Coffee drinker, that's espresso) and he's had no trouble with getting the used grounds out, he says it's easier to let them drip dry for a couple of minutes. He does clean the filter about once a week with a toothbrush, that's it! Highly recommended! Get one, you won't be disappointed!

I just did a first cup brew test with a slow pour-over two Tbsp of coffee for a large cup (16oz?). Excellent! I’m so pleased that I’m writing a review, and easily score 5 stars for taste (cowboy coffee without the grounds), cleaning (hot water rinse and I’ll throw it in the dishwasher whenever I as needed)! I bought paper filters and had anticipated needing them to line the steel filter for best results; completed unnecessary as there was zero coffee residual left in the bottom of my mug!! Decent price too!!

Purchased this to use while camping ... I am the only coffee drinker and making a pot was too much or got too cold by the time the rest of the pot was consumed. Purchased with a pour over kettle that heats quickly and it makes a great cup of coffee. My only negative issue is that with this style of making coffee, one cannot easily see the level rising in the cup and if one is not careful can over fill the coffee cup, which can be messy. The dripper is easy to clean and make a second or third cup that is fresh.

Just as we hoped, but much sturdier! We expect it will last many, many years of hard use!!!Even the fine grounds are retained, but the coffee tastes richer- and, we don't have to buy or run out of filters anymore!(Years ago we used a gold-plated filter but the gold wore off, the mesh didn't catch all the grounds and it wasn't sturdy, so we are really happy to have found this one.)

For pour over coffee methods this little gadget works wonders. Does a great job of dripping the coffee into the pot/cup with absolutely no sediment whatsoever. Takes very little storage room, bright stainless steel finish and double mesh. It cleans very easily by running it through the faucet or the sprayer on my faucet. This was definitely a good choice.
