As a novice baker I easily made these scones! the flavor was great! I used OJ in icing mix!

Stone Wall Kitchen does it again! Love all their products and this one definitely lives up to its name. Great Flavor and texture.

The taste of the finished scones was good. I am not a great baker and I’m learning. That’s for perspective. I know that scones need to be handled carefully, but I’m not certain of the fine differences. I followed the instructions and found the scones to be smaller than expected. I can’t be sure if that was me or if the box doesn’t have enough scone mix in it. I also found the instructions to be lacking some details, for example, you can use orange juice or cream in your glaze, but what does that mean for handling the finished scones in terms of storage? Minor things like that weren’t answered.

These are the best scones from a mix that I have ordered. Easy to make and delicious. They are kind of expensive but when I compare the price of the mix to the price of scones in the local market @ 1.99 each, it is comparable. I made a batch for our mail carrier for a Christmas gift and he said they were very good.

I am not much of a baker, so/but when I made them, I cut into the dough with a glass cup and cut the round like cookies and I also substituted the water with orange juice and grated orange rind in the mix and icing.

The directions were easy to follow. The flavor of the scones left a lot to be desired. They really needed more orange flavor , and the dried cranberries were more for a hint of texture than for taste. Very disappointing.

Our local bakery does a limited scone offering but specific flavors on a regular rotation weekly which becomes boring. Tried these hoping for a good change and, like all Stonewall Kitchen things, it didn't disappoint. Now I'll try mixing with various SK jams! <mmmmmmm>
