Very much worth your trying.
I've been able to try at least a couple dozen different new-to-me medium roast coffee beans in 2025, mostly from local roasters, but some from amazon online vendors, like Stumptown. I've gone through two bags of Holler Mountain. It's one of the top three beans I've tasted this year. The flavor profile I get is a little different than the one Stumptown gives (citrus, caramel, hazelnut). The soft acidity is very well-handled, yielding a perfectly balanced coffee, but I wouldn't call it citrus-y. The two prominent flavors I experience, which are both rich/full in character, are walnut and cocoa. Those flavors, and the acidity, are l-o-n-g indeed. This is a delicious and satisfying coffee. I use a KINGrinder, and a Hario Switch to brew.

Very interesting - excellent coffee
This is an excellent Arabica bean with full bodied aroma and flavor. It's different from other coffees I've enjoyed over the years in that it has a pronounced after taste/effect. It seemed to present a "ringing" flavor sensation at the finish. I can think of no other way to describe it. It could be the pH level, but I have no way to measure that. The bag mentions a fruitiness and that may be a clue. Whatever it is, I will continue to buy it and mix it with my french roast beans, which would be the right blend for my taste.

One of the Best Coffees any Enthusiast should have!
1. Flavor Profile: The flavor profile of Holler Mountain is truly remarkable. Each cup offers a delightful symphony of tastes, with prominent notes of citrus zest, caramel, and hazelnut. The citrus zest provides a refreshing, bright undertone, perfectly balanced by the rich sweetness of caramel and the nutty warmth of hazelnut. This complex yet harmonious blend makes every sip a new discovery, pleasing to both the palate and the senses. 2. Freshness and Aroma: From the moment I opened the bag, the rich, inviting aroma of freshly roasted coffee filled the air. The beans were perfectly roasted, exuding a freshness that is often hard to come by. Grinding the beans at home amplified this wonderful aroma, making the brewing process an enjoyable ritual. The enticing scent alone was enough to wake up my senses even before the first sip. 3. Quality and Sourcing: Stumptown Coffee Roasters is known for its commitment to quality and sustainable sourcing, and the Holler Mountain blend is no exception. These organic whole beans are sourced from some of the best coffee-growing regions, ensuring not only excellent flavor but also ethical and environmentally friendly practices. Knowing that I am supporting a company dedicated to sustainable and fair trade practices enhances my coffee-drinking experience. 4. Medium Roast Perfection: The medium roast of Holler Mountain is expertly done, striking the perfect balance between light and dark. It brings out the natural flavors of the beans without overpowering them, resulting in a smooth and well-rounded cup of coffee. Whether brewed as a pour-over, French press, or espresso, this roast level provides consistent quality and flavor. 5. Versatility: One of the things I appreciate most about Holler Mountain is its versatility. It tastes fantastic no matter how I prepare it. For a bright and crisp morning coffee, I use a pour-over method that highlights the citrus notes. For a richer, more indulgent afternoon pick-me-up, the French press method brings out the caramel and hazelnut undertones beautifully. This adaptability makes it a great all-around coffee for any time of day. 6. Packaging: The packaging of the Holler Mountain blend is both functional and aesthetically pleasing. The 12-ounce bag is resealable, which helps maintain the freshness of the beans over time. The design is sleek and modern, reflecting the quality and care that goes into every bag of Stumptown coffee. Conclusion: Stumptown Coffee Roasters' Medium Roast Organic Whole Bean Coffee - Holler Mountain is a standout product that delivers on all fronts: flavor, aroma, quality, and versatility. The complex flavor notes of citrus zest, caramel, and hazelnut create a delightful and memorable coffee experience. Coupled with the company’s commitment to sustainable practices, this coffee is a true winner. I highly recommend Holler Mountain to any coffee lover looking for a premium, ethically sourced coffee that delivers exceptional taste with every cup.

Great Coffee! Recommended!
Delicious. Upon receipt I immediately made a cup for taste testing. I used a burr grinder at about setting number 18, and a pour over device. This is, I believe, One of the best coffees I have ordered, and I have ordered many. My only concern was that it had been roasted in November, but it still seems to have great taste. Recommended.

Tastes like Orange Peel
I received the package with 6 months to go on the best buy date. The beans were dry, which I wanted for my superautomatic machine. It tasted like sour orange peel, and I think it's meant to taste like that. I bought it based on the front of the bag showing "Sweet & Caramel" without realizing the back says, "Citrus, Caramel, Berry Jam". Or, maybe I saw it, and thought it would be a bright creamy caramel. I didn't taste any caramel. The "espresso" had a light mouthfeel, and while listed as a medium roast, I'd say it was a light roast. Superautomatic machines with built-in ceramic flat burr grinders can only use non-oily beans, which these were. It's a trade-off having to give up on our favored dark roasts for medium roast beans to protect our machine. For the price, this bean coffee was not worthwhile at all.

Delicious Coffee, but a Bit Pricey
This coffee is truly delicious and was recommended to me by a friend. It has a wonderful aroma and a rich, great taste. I really enjoyed it, but for me it’s a bit too expensive to buy regularly.
