TMJ suffers NEED this too.
Ok. This is so weird. Yes. You look like a moron. Yes. You drool. Yes. You can make it fall off on occasion. Yes. It really does work! What I don't think is made clear when purchasing is that this thing kind of sucks to your tongue to keep it out in the little cup that sticks out of your lips. It takes a while to master it so that it doesn't "pull" too hard, but once you do, it is pretty cool though your tongue feels a little strange for a few minutes when you take it off in the morning. It is really soft and thin. I wear invislign braces and even with those in, this works. I also sleep on my side or stomach. Still has stayed in. Not only does it help with snoring, but it helps with grinding and TMJ since you can't clench or grind with your tongue sticking out. Initially I was worried I would hurt my tongue by biting down on it all night, but you really can't bite it with this in. Your teeth just kind of rest on it. I have to admit, I would recommend this. There is a "snoring test" that you can do online that tells you what kind of snorer you are. If it is a tongue snorer - this works awesome. Even if you don't snore and have TMJ or grind, I would recommend this freaky thing. It really helps with sleeping, headaches and jaw pain. I really can't believe this works. Try a simple test at home. Stick your tongue out a little between your lips and try to make a snoring sound. You really can't. I have had this a few weeks and gave up after a few tries before going back to it. Once you figure out the most comfortable way to get your tongue in there, it's really awesome and worth looking ridiculous. Here are the things other reviews don't tell you:1) Stays on your tongue with suction - that you control2) Don't shove your tongue all the way in there. A tiny little bit works best3) It's super soft4) You can't bite your tongue while wearing this5) You just squeeze the sides to release6) It's really soft, and even softer if you run it under hot water7) You can wear with a retainer / Invisilign8) Will stop you from grinding or clenching9) Takes a few days to get used to. Don't give up!10) Best thing ever

Finally Found a Snoring Cure for Us.
Finally found something that works for us! I know, you look like an idiot (but how many people are watching you sleep), it feels weird, it takes a little getting used to, you drool BUT it's the one thing I've found that stops the snoring. I was monitoring the snoring problem using a sleeping log app called Sleep Center. It records your actual sounds all night long and rates your night's sleep. The evidence is right there. I can now hear what my wife's been trying to put up with. Other anti-snoring devices showed starting out initially helping (the head strap, the Breath Right strips, the worthless nostril pads) but within the first 1/2 hour of nodding off here came the snores. This SnoreX device stopped my snoring as long as it is in place. Follow the directions, practice while you're winding down for the day before you sleep, soften it under hot water and just do it. If it falls out or if I remove it in the night my wife will nudge and I can quickly put it in again and get the right suction going again. I found that you don't have to force your tongue in too tight. Just enough to get suction that pulls the tongue forward. You can feel the gentle pull and it doesn't take much. The first couple of days your tongue is sensitive from the suction but that diminishes and if that's all it costs to stop snoring - it's worth it. We're sleeping together again. We feel like we've found our device. I'd give it a five but will continue to monitor for the next month.

Since I like to research things throughly before I buy anything
I was on a weekend trip with my boyfriend when he told me I snored...badly! I was so embarrassed that I immediately began looking for solutions on the internet. Since I like to research things throughly before I buy anything, I did LOTS of homework on which types of devices worked effectively, how they worked, and what all the pros and cons were to all of them. I had a sleep study done 8 years ago and USED to use a CPAP but it took lots of getting used to and was very cumbersome to use. While it gave me good, deep sleep for awhile, I found that I was removing it in my sleep, plus, it's too embarrassing to use when you sleep with someone. Then I went years using nothing thinking I was not really snoring anymore. Much to my dismay and tiredness, I was. Enter two new types of devices, the retainer-like mouthpieces and the tongue-suction devices: MAD (Mandibular Advancement Device) and TSD (Tongue Stabilizing Device). The MAD devices shape to your teeth and are worn like a retainer, moving your lower jaw forward to keep your tongue from sliding to the back of your throat. The TSDs suction to the tip of your tongue and keep your tongue from slipping to the back of your throat, thus preventing the snoring vibration. When many reviewers said the MAD devices hurt their jaws, I decided to go with what looked to be the easiest device to use--the TSD. I reviewed the devices on line and decided to go with an expensive and yet simple one that's pretty small and doesn't make you look too ridiculous. To my surprise, it WORKED...IMMEDIATELY! Extremely effective and never hurt my tongue, but it DID rub against my gums causing lots of irritation, and drool. Lots of drool! After using it for several months, it seemed to lose suction. I decided to replace it with a much less expensive version that was a bit bigger that I saw on Amazon--the SnoreX. For around $25, I figured I didn't have much to lose. The SnoreX works exactly the same way, but, in my opinion, is designed better! There is little to no drooling and it stays on all night-no problems. You can adjust the suction once you get used to how the device works, and its very easy to do. For those of you who are complaining about it hurting your tongues, you're using too much suction!! Hello?? Adjust it!! This SnoreX causes little to no drooling issues and is perfect for me! I am extremely happy using it and waking up refreshed and not sleepy anymore. And while my boyfriend teases me sometimes about looking like I have a pacifier in my mouth, he's rather happy that it works...and so am I! I highly recommend it and have definitely passed this information on to all of my friends and family who snore.ππΌππΌ
