Great hutch for my intended purpose of day use
I have this a shot for my rabbit even though there were so many terrible reviews. I came to find that every rabbit hutch had bad reviews. It is lighter wood with no bottom which is all stated. The size if perfect for my large rabbit. This is not a hutch I planned om him staying in overnight but only for day use. Perfect for what we needed. No damage to any parts and USE A SCREWDRIVER not a drill and you are golden.

Not worth the money ... would return if I could.
Just put this together. If we had had another option, we would have returned this item.1. Upon opening the box, the first 2 pieces that had wire on them both had broken pieces. These broken areas consisted of one or 2 wires that had broken away in the middle of the screen and covered a couple of inches. It took a little bit of time to twist and cut these wires so that they would not hurt our rabbit. We were not happy about this, but, again, we did not have a choice as we were out of time after a 3-day drive to our new house with our animals in tow.2. The pull-out drawer did not meet at the corners and pulled apart as soon as it was taken out of the box. I will have to do some work on the middle support piece of the tray to shorten it as there is no way to fully fix the drawer without shortening it because it was miss cut and the back crossbar "rocks" on it.3. The "rails" that the drawer sits on are (were) attached by flimsy, thin nails. As soon as the rabbit had put his weight on the entrance side, the rail folded down---did not drop the rabbit --- but folded down. I had to take the hutch apart enough to be able to screw these into place. I will have to replace them as soon as possible just to keep the animal safe.4. Even though we were very careful to keep everything "squared up" and even when it came time to put on the final wired piece, it was off by so much that the latch could not be used. Not a huge deal for a rabbit, but a big one for anyone with animals that might be able to knock things and wiggle out.Overall, nice design, but so cheaply made that I don't expect it to last even a year. We have had it put together and in use for 2 days now and the legs are already stained and show signs of water damage. The wood may be real, but it is very soft and will not hold up to much of anything...including the screws. If I fell into that cage, the screws outcome right out of the wood in many places because the wood just isn't strong enough to hold them in.Very disappointed. I wish it could be returned, but that is not an option. We will be building our own next time.

You Get What You Pay ForâŚ.
Itâs not versatile. The weight actually gives that away, it is very light weight for a chicken coop of this size. Itâs made of FIR WOOD. Easier than most furniture I had to assemble due to the soft wood it is made from, FIR IS NOT THE STRONGEST NOT THE STURDIEST wood to build coops with given that chickens move around a great deal while cooped up while theyâre inside. It is smaller than the pictures make it out to be - I was very disappointed in the whole experience. They didnât include enough of the right sized screws, the instructions were pictures, NO WORDS AT ALL. Very poorly explained as to which set of screws went into which part. Lastly, the description says there is both a NESTING BOX AND A RESTING BOX - that there is asphalt on the ramp, as well as over the ârunâ - the run is more like a walk. There is no way to keep chickens DRY during a rainstorm because that infamous asphalt roofing they brag about covers only the housing portion of the coop. There are NO PERCHES/ROOSTS FOR them to SLEEP ON. It is simply an enclosed 3x3 top portion that will house 1-2 chickens at best. The bottom under the house is okay, for fresh air, but try to fit 5 young (14 weeks old) chickens in there - it wonât work. And on top of all that, the ramp is too small. I spent 3 hours putting this together. I promised them a house by this week. And now the thought of taking it apart and sending it back for a refund seems insurmountable- I am a senior citizen and unable to do much - the miracle of putting it together was greatly diminished with the realization that it wonât fit my needs, it doesnât have all the parts I need to put it together- and it wonât serve the purpose of keeping them warm and dry in the rainy season coming next month. So, I frankly donât know what to do here. I donât usually have problems with items I purchase on Amazon - but out of all the items purchased on Amazon over the years, THIS CHICKEN COOP WAS - IS - by FAR, the worst experience yet. I wonât be buying any more products from this company ever again. have more than one chicken, and this coop will only house one chicken and maybe a few pips - but thatâs all. You donât want to have it so crowded in there that they start fighting over food. Amazon, I love hou, but this vendor needs a reprimand.for misleading information on their Amazon site. It makes Amazon look bad. Also, couldnât find their web page to handle it directly. No phone number. Nothing. Suspicious. No way to correct this problem. Disappointed with my purchase is putting it mildly. My poor chickens will have to wait longer to get their place to sleep safely and stay dry and warm. I want to cry.Christina Hope

CHEAP-you get what you pay for
Super flimsy and cheap. Definitely not enough to sustain 2 chickens in the winter. More of a summer, move around the yard kinda thing.

Great quickly assembled starter coop for backyard
This coop was relatively easy to assemble- although it doesn't have started drill holes in all parts to assist with lining parts up easily. It's light weight, pretty sturdy, and enough room for my 2 chickens. We had planned on getting 3-4 chickens originally but that def would've been pushing it on the amount of space that is available. It was also mildly difficult to find a way to attach the headlamp for the chickens. But we were able to get a heating "wall" in through the bottom but at the cost of losing some real-estate. It's worked great so far, and was great for a quick shipped, quick assemble starter backyard coop. Only real bummer is that some of the wooden slats for the interior wall/door immediately fell off (like within minutes of assembling- and these pieces came pre-assembled) and continue to fall off.
