Works better than expected
I read several reviews and checked online for advise on installation in a desperate search for something to cool my second floor/ converted attic space. Being an old farmhouse the only insulation was some fiberglass laid between the ceiling joists of the first floor, basically the attic floor. Nothing at all on the walls or roof area at all. Stapling this to the rafter joists created an air gap between this and the roof decking which is what youre supposed to have for this to work properly, and it does. After covering the west facing side there was a noticeable difference in temperature. And after covering bedroom wall exposed to the attic side it probably lowered the temperature by 20 degrees or more. Compared to fiberglass this made the most noticeable difference and was the cheapest option by far. My AC unit upstairs works much better now and will pay for the cost easily.

Well worth the money !!
Cut it to 22.5" +12'-14', then went down the middle of the attic, an rolled it out on top of existing insulation. Could tell the differance in about a day !!Only have to use s very small heater to heat a 10+25 room with this in the attic, an taped on the inside of the outer wall from floor to ceiling !!

Works great but....
i used this in my attic- stapled to the bottom of the rafters. it works amazingly. instant difference. in south texas and i can leave my windows open on an 85 degree day. looking forward to major savings this summer. here's the caveat; it is not durable and rips easily so that makes installation tricky if you're not careful.however, that does not impact it's effectiveness at all. it still reflects 97% of radiant heat. you just might have to re-staple or use foil tape during installation.another point; this 4 foot wide product is not for truss roofs. if installing this product horizontally on the rafters you have to cut the barrier around each jack support. it's awful but i got it done. do yourself a favor and buy the 26 inch wide product so you can install it vertically on the rafters.

Wow - what a difference.
We live in NC and the sun hits our house from 10AM until near sunset. Our AC had a hard time keeping up when the sun was brutal and the temp above 95F. I spent a day in our attic playing monkey with a staple gun and wrapping the upstairs room walls and then the exterior walls and roofing that I could get to. I am 65 and the product wasn't that bad although I sweated my $ss off. The next few days it hit 95F+ and we were actually putting on a thin sweatshirt to stay warm. This stuff works great. I did it by myself. I precut pieces before going up into the crawl space. Big help. I ordered more to do over the ceiling insulation of those rooms. Our AC runs so much less. Very much worth it. Buy a good quality staple gun and hydrate. You will be amazed at the product results.

Trash a hassle
Do not buy this stuff. It's horrible. It is hard to cut even with new blades, used the strongest glue it stated up over night after 7 hours of putting up. Plus if you have to overlap it will not glue to itself no matter what you use. Hell I didn't 40 bucks on first hours trying to find one to work with it. Just not worth the hassle when there's foam board with the same stuff already attached. Trash just normal buying experience lately.

Quantity over quality
I'm comparing this to the original attic foil from attic foil.com. that i used in my attic. I went cheap this time because its for my garage. Quality is not there. It rips easy . Had a problem stapling it up to the rafters it kept tearing from staple had to keep going back and to re staple. The original attic foil is more dense and heavier almost rip proof. On a positive note you do get quantity, I have a lot left over. I feel that it works ok blocking the radiant heat. Could be better.

Grow house material
Buy it for the grow house. It’s easy to attach on the wall.Work fine to reflect the light. And steady too.The product is quite thick so make sure you tape it well.
