What a great item. I have used two of them in my mountain property. the first, (older model of this one) I use to control my hot water heater. I can use my voice, app or manually turn it off and on. the second (this one) I used it to control my well water pump. at a push of the button (app, manually or voice) I can turn on or off the pump. it was easy to install, easy to control. and looks great on the wall. if functions perfectly and leaves me with piece of mind.

I had to use a Wi-Fi extender to connect to my Wi-Fi modem at the other end of the house, but once I did, this works perfectly. I have it integrated in with Alexa and it responds to voice commands readily. The app is a little flaky in that when you create what the app calls a “Scene“, but what Alexa calls a routine, will disappear from the app. But if you just create a new scene and save it, all of a sudden, your old Scenes will all reappear. Just delete the temporary Scene you just created to refresh the list. I’ve tried all of the suggested fixes online of clearing the app cache, uninstalling and reinstalling the app, etc., and the problem persists but the good news is the routine still runs from the cloud, even if it doesn’t show up in the app. This timer saves me a lot of grief being able to turn my pool pump off and on from the comfort of my home. I have no idea why somebody would spend so much more on the more expensive options when this one works perfectly. It also has a convenient on off push button switch in the center of a big dial when you open the cover for manual off on capability. This replaced my mechanical Intermatic wheel timer in a metal box, which worked great but was just a pain having to go outside to make adjustments during different times of the year. Or having to turn the pump on if I had added pool chemicals to recirculate overnight when the pump schedule normally shuts off. My 220V connections to this device were exactly like my old Intermatic connections so electrical hook up was very simple. The schematics they provide in the box explain various electrical connection configurations, which was very helpful. I wish that schematic was included as part of the product picture description since it would’ve answered a lot of questions upfront. The new ABS plastic box is rugged, obviously not as rugged as steel, but no issues or concerns. If you’re switching from the Intermatic to this new box you will need to drill new holes for mounting because the hole positions in the back of this new box do not match the old Intermatic box. Not a big deal.

I had to replace a simple on off switch, and thought this would work. Amazingly, when the box arrived it was well made and compact. I installed it next to my breaker box outside, and simply hooked up my 240 V sprinkler pump that runs 37 sprinklers on both lawns front and back of my home. The instructions seemed a bit difficult to me, "duh," but I wrote to the suppliers who promptly responded with easy instructions. Upon setting them, now my sprinklers go on every day, at 6:30 am and run for a half hour on my 2 1/2 horsepower pump. So easy and so nice. If you need a timer for any outside electrical devices like this, buy it!

My old mechanical timer for our water heater went out and I saw this one. It was actually cheaper than a mechanical replacement; but this one has wireless control. It’s so easy to create programs and even has 3rd party integration with other smart apps. I have some experience with electrical work but no formal training. This unit was pretty easy to install following the provided wiring guide. These types of connectors seem pretty robust and tight. It’s been about a month since I bought the first unit and I am completely satisfied. Update 11/5/23: Unit started to melt and short itself out. Pretty sure I did everything right. I have two of these units: one for my water heater and one for a battery bank that I charge for my EV. The water heater switch is doing good but this one just went bad. I’m going to have to go with a different brand for the replacement I think.

Glad i got this. Used for my pool pump. Love setting up the timer and schedule with the ease of your phone. My old timer was a actually mechanical unit. Lasted a long time but had to replace. Make sure your wifi timer is not to far from a wireless router or mesh unit.

So far so good up and running on my hot water heater was a breeze to program needed no help I will report back in a month to brag on my power savings I would easily say at least 70 dollars a month I set two programs on at 5 off at 8 am. And on at 5 off at 8 pm. Easy straightforward setup

I purchased this timer to replace my analog pool pump timer (you know the brand). I had doubts about it being fairly lightweight but it is housed in a sturdy, well-made metal rain-tite enclosure and installed easily. The electrical connectors are robust enough for #8 wire and the knock-outs match standard spacing, although they were not punch pressed very well so I had to use a hole saw on one knockout. A minor inconvenience given the reasonable price and solid quality. It is not the same size as the older, traditional timer unit but worked for me. My only complaint is that the latch fit poorly (too tight, impossible to unlatch by hand) and had to be slightly filed to make opening the case practical. Some report the instructions aren't clear but I didn't find that to be the case. I don'ty know how long it will last but if I get two years out of it and need to replace it, I'll buy this same brand again.

i installed this on my hot water heater circuit. this enables us to shut off the tank if we go away for an extended trip and allows us to turn the tank back on such that when we arrive home, our hot water is available without delay. installation was easy, wifi connection was easy and it is compatible with my existing Smart Life app, minimizing the need for multiple apps to control my devices.

for daylight saving time, you can only go forward, not back, which is required for the upcoming " fall back " hour. i.e. you can only go forward, like for spring. so you must set the time after the dst time and then going forward in spring is easy.
