My 4in1 printer is 20+ years old and slow but still does the job. I only use hp brand printer ink because the recycled/ remanufacured/ refilled (compatible) ink cartridges don't last long. I feel that used inks from 3rd party manufacturers are a rip off and I don't recommend purchasing just to save money. This time I had to order from amazon, usually I get the colour ink from the office supply store or walmart here. But I see a lot of places where I live don't carry colour ink just 56 black ink. I wish coloured ink wasn't so expensive. But still better price then what you would have to pay for other colour print ink cartridges these days. Printer quality isn't bad considering how long I've had my printer for. I don't print that often, but when I print larger jobs it lasts quite awhile (it also depends what your printing). If your printing a lot of pictures like 200 4×6" high quality photos 2 on a page on photo paper. It will probably last in a shorter time frame for example. I would recommend this product to a friend.

Easy to fix and is working well.

HP tri-colour ink cartridges are the best for the HP all-in-one printers. I've tried cheaper no-name brands but they don't print as well and don't last as long as the HP brand.

I've had my HP PSC 2200 series all-in-one since December 14, 2002. It still runs beautifully, even though the software drivers aren't get much of any recent updates it seems. But it works! The PSC 2200 series uses 2 cartridges: one black (high-capacity is available -- get it now!) and another that includes the Magnenta, Cyan, and Yellow colors. Unlike a lot of printers, it will continue to print if you do run out of a certain color, but I use those as "proofs" before installing new cartridges and using the more-expensive ink-jet papers for photos, etc. I am worried that one day, HP will just stop making the ink cartridges for this series. So I have been stocking up for those "just in case" days. The tri-color cartridge 57 IS EXPENSIVE (yeah, sticker shock); the high-capacity 56 Black is about half the price. Also, I have made sure to check the seller & shipper for this product. You don't want a counterfeit gunking up and clogging your ink jets! Amazon is pretty good about making sure the HP version is available from them.

Always makes great color prints in my printer. Have tried to find 3rd party cartridges but not successful finding one that makes color prints. Can find black and white cartridges however. This is because HP software prevents non standard cartridges of this type to work in a HP printer.
