These little plugs are the real thing! I live in an area where lots of dog have proliferated--sounds almost like a kennel sometimes night and day (I guess folks are worried about burglars or their neighbors!) and I'd been using the foam. sometimes rubber ear plugs which get crud infested so easily--seems like I'd go through a package too soon. These ear plugs do exactly as advertised- easy to insert, just the right plugging and easy to clean. They seem almost indestructible, though I will keep them away from the cats! Comes with a nice little cord and the plugs have a little handle that's easy to cut to size. Can't praise them enough--bring on the dogs and helicopters and sirens--I'll sleep through those but still will be able to hear someone moving in the house. Did I mention they're inexpensive, too?

I bought these because I travel a lot for work and often times hotel rooms can be noisy due to other guests, construction, etc. These weren't very comfortable for me as they stick out of your ears quite a bit so it made trying to sleep in them kind of painful. I would doze off with them in, but shortly after I would have to wake up and take them out because my ears were getting sore.I also didn't find that they were any good at noise cancelling, I think they helped a little but I could always still hear background noise. Overall not any better than using headphones and listening to music or a podcast and falling asleep... perhaps I just bought the wrong kind, but the overall lack of comfort is my main complaint.

I bought these for a friend who's in a nursing home. It can get pretty noisy there -- any time, day or night. She just loves these earplugs. They're easy to use and they work just great. They are a replacement other earplugs that I had gotten for her that were not satisfactory. And, these were much, much cheaper -- less than half the price of the others.

These work very well. They keep out sound, don't put too much pressure on your ears, it's nice. My only suggestion to users, trim the handles on the outer side of the plugs. They are long and can rub against your pillow, making some noise and pressing the plug further into your ear.

I have trouble getting these inserted deeply enough to keep out sounds, but when I am able to do it, they are quite effective.

After sleeping with these for a few nights with a meowing cat in my house, I began to wonder about the many brands of similar earplugs out there and why they work. THESE DON'T. They barely block out any sound, and you need to jam them into your ear for you to think they're working. I apologize to the maker/seller for this review, but this is an inferior product with misleading results. Please refund my money in full as stated in your guarantee.

I am a side sleeper and the first few nights of wearing these was a little painful, but I easily trimmed the stems (handles on the outer side of the plugs) , with a sharp pair of scissors (about 6/16"), and now they work great. The stem is still long enough to pull them out and will still go into the string attachment.

They are working they don't keep out all the noise but enough so I can get some sleep from noisy neighbors thank goodness no more grouchy mornings I hope!
