Fine clamps
Bought my first Jorgensen clamps in '98. Was always happy to see them in my shop ready when I needed them. Ordered these 36" clamps for a bigger job & worked perfectly, as I expected. At first I was disappointed they didn't use the old style wooden handles, but now that I've actually used them, I like the rubberized handles better.Initially I gave this product a lower rating because they were shipped in an open box with absolutely NO protective packaging. They were free to bang against each other during shipment. They arrived damaged having several paint chips missing. 5 stars for the product - not so much for the packaging.

Great Clamp
I had two Jorgensen 3736 36" clamps for about 20 years until losing one while moving. Bought three of these to compliment the one remaining. These have a thicker, heavier bar and a beefier clamping mechanism than the 3736 and are padded. These don't flex as much as the 3736.I don't remember what i paid for the earlier ones but I wish these were available back then.Very good clamps. Not as bulky or as heavy as similar pipe clamps.I am extremely happy with the quality and price of these clamp, AND, they are made in the USA.

Bend slightly, but they are perfect for all my purposes.
I don't clamp a lot of things, so I don't need the most expensive fancy clamps. But I found myself making a couple of desks that needed some long clamps. Got 2 of these and I didn't regret it. They feel strong and sturdy. There's a slight bending that happens to the bar when you really tighten it down, but nothing I wouldn't expect from such a long piece of metal under that kind of load. I haven't clamped anything that has required the clamp to say perfectly straight (i'd probably pick up some pipe clamps if I did). They always hold my work securely, allowing me to lift and move it as one piece while the glue dries.Very happy.

I'm a bit disappointed with the plastic handle
I just received an order for 6 of these clamps. I currently own 6 from a previous purchase a few years ago. I'm a bit disappointed with the plastic handle. It's a hollow plastic handle and one of them was partially smashed. Some small, orange pieces fell out of the box as I opened them. It may have been UPS as the box was pretty dinged up with holes in the box. The remaining 5 clamps look OK. I really only noticed two changes compared to my original clamps - the first is the plastic handle. The second is the clamp pads. While the old ones were rubber and would leave marks on the clamped wood, these seem to be plastic. They seem like they could be a little brittle. Time will tell.As for the plastic handles, maybe I can convince my wife I need to get a lathe so I can turn my own wooden handles.

High quality, heavy duty clamps
I ordered four of these steel bar clamps to replace bar clamps I used for 20 years to build several cottages and a log cabin. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the clamps, the thickness of the bar and how easily the screw turns. It really is well made. If you are looking for a high quality bar clamp, this is it.

Heavy Duty Made in USA
These are excellent, strong clamps. Their weight is a good sign of quality and strength. The wooden handle for tightening is a good size for gripping so you can get them tight. They are much better than the others I have (some in red and others in blue). I liked them so much that I ordered more after the first ones arrived. Them being on sale made it even better.

Mmmmmmm clamps!
Excellent Clamps! Hand "filling" grip, non marring pads, strong bar that does not flex much, just enough resistance to changing stock position, easy to feel quality! Will be using these for years to come!

Childhood nostalgia at its finest.
I needed to clamp something larger than quick grip bar clamps can accomodate, so I went with getting these. Just like I grew up helping dad use, and I don't think the manufacturing process has changed in the past 30 years either. It's good to know that the US still makes something incredibly well.
