Mattel Games UNO: Deluxe - Card Game

I ordered this game for my 7 year-old daughter who suffers from vision loss due to an eye injury. The description states that they are large print, and I thought the cards would be larger than the normal game and they are not. They are not larger print, or larger cards. The cards are exactly the same size as the normal game.

We love to play Uno as a family. I was tired of boxes that would fall apart and need to be taped back together. I was in search of the "old style" game that my grandma had when I was little. Love this one.

This is UNO. The game you remember. However the NEW card faces are nuts. There are no words on these cards at all. Not on the wild cards and not on the "Word" cards like "Reverse", "Skip", or "Draw Two" .They have gone to symbols and the symbols are cryptic at best and they don't give you handy guide cards to explain what the symbols mean. There is just a small (black & white) list of the symbols in the rules. So UNO is no longer a game made by people who know what words are for (in this case Mattel).Also, the cards are particularly flimsy. In other words, designed not to last.

My grandchildren loved the packaging and the idea of deluxe. The game is a bit tiring for me but they seem to enjoy it.

We bought as a gift - found ourselves thoroughly enjoying playing Uno with both kids and other adults.This is a simple but fun and challenging game.

I really like the fact that this version of UNO comes in a box with a card tray and dry-erase score pad. It is much better than the cheaper deck of UNO cards. I would suggest this set if you are considering buying the game.

The Old Deluxe version ws delivered, not what was ordered. unfortunately i could not return it as i needed to give it as a birthday gift and did not have time to return and wait for the new order

We love this game. We have worn out at least four decks of cards since we started playing.
