My bad. I would suggest starting the Tide series first.
I didn't read all the synopsis which would have told me that this was a side story of a larger series. I enjoyed the book, even if the fighting was a bit too long for my taste ( though I understand others enjoy it). The story was really well told and I felt for the main character by the end. I just wish I had waited to read it after book 6 as now in not sure I want to go back to the begining after being hooked into the middle. I think I will give time for this story to fade from my memory a bit and come back to Tide.

Prepare for Wow and Pow
As if The Tide series didn't provide enough action and adventure, this standalone tie-in has lots of wow to go along with the pow. Of course, there is violence and adult language. After all, we're talking about military members fighting in a post-apocalyptic world.Brendon O'Neil and the rest of his sixteen-man US Navy SEAL troop meet their match in a battle they didn't see coming. While some readers of the series may know the results, they won't know the details... until they read this story.I applaud the author for his ability to blend so many different elements that kept my heart pounding.

Great book
I've got the Tide Series in my pile of books to be read but haven't started it yet and reading Hybrid started me looking though my pile to find the first book in The Tide series. Hybrid was a fine book with great characters and a great back story for Brandon O'Neil. Can't say any more without giving away a bunch of spoilers and I don't do that. Read the book, it will not disappoint.

Great Addition to the Series
O'Neil is one of my favorite characters from the Tide Series. I was so excited to read this book and delve more into his story and character. Tide Series is one of my favorite in the genre. O'Neil's character shows the strength and determination and fight to win attitude of the Seals. His character was the main reason the Hunters were able to survive that mission and continue to battle to save the world. Great book and I definitely recommend it to anyone who read the Tide Series or loves this genre.

O’Neal!!!
Wow this was a wonderful surprise. In this book we get to find out all about Brendan O’Neal, a SEAL going on missions with his brother SEALS to rid the world of the Oni Agent and Scull monsters that have destroyed most of the world. This book is a pulse pounding experience that you won’t want to put down. Incredibly exciting and for those of us who like the Military slant, the author gives us plenty of details too, a great read!

Terrific book!
Anthony J. Melchiorri drew me into the Tide series a few years back. I waited impatiently for each and every new episode. Now, this book appears in my you may like alerts in Amazon. To say I jumped on UT would be an understatement. O' Neal is one of my favorite characters. Just being able to read of his thoughts and feelings has opened up the entire series for me again. Now, I see the light! The Hunters rule!

Now I've been reminded how much I loved reading about the Hunters!
I've missed the world of Tide and the Hunters - Dom, Meredith and even their first Hybrid Hunter, O'Neil. This journey back to before O'Neil wore the bones has re-infected my old tired mind and now I'm going to have to re-read the series again. Thanks, Tony! It's a good thing I bought the box set to get me started again. Any chance on getting a spin-off Tide series? Or continue the Hunters' story? Maybe?

I may have started with the latest book in the series. The only thing to do now is go back to the beginning. That ending had me in tears!!
