When I found this very well made jewel, I just couldn't pass it up as I knew it would make the most beautiful headpiece for a vintage themed wedding. The 2 1/2 inch (6.3 cm) wide brooch is made up of three layers of brilliantly clear sparkly crystal rhinestones pave set in shiny rhodium plated metal. This is a modern piece made in a vintage/antique style. Still a beautiful comb and nicely made with unbelievable sparkle. All crystals are present, accounted for and brilliant with no wear to the silver setting. Photos aren't capturing the sparkle, It just glimmers as it catches the light. Brooch is securely attached to a new high-end silver plated comb. Hair comb measures 2 1/2 inches (6.3 cm) wide by 2 3/8 inch (6 cm) high not counting the teeth of the comb and was designed to stay in place. The brooch has been mounted at a slight angle to the comb base so that the hair can slide underneath the brooch to the top of the comb keeping it secure. (This is a bit heavier comb so if you have thin hair you may need to use a bobby pin or two to help hold it in place.) * Your jewel will arrive wrapped in tissue inside a gift box. *** Regarding quality - I have been making altered couture jewelry from vintage jewels for years.
