Song of India Solid Perfume in Hand-Carved Rosewood Jar with Screw-on Top (Lavender)

This solid perfume, which I’ve been using for almost 20 years, has always had a consistent texture and fragrance. Krishna musk keeps its character during the day and can be refreshed without a lingering staleness, something you can’t always count on with spray perfume. The rosewood container is beautifully made and easily repurposed. Song of India perfumes are a bit hard to source in the US, but this vendor has a good selection and reasonable prices, filled the order promptly, and even included a little surprise.

This is the second time I have purchased this item. It lasts a long time and the scent is not overwhelming. It has a nice "musky" or "woodsy" scent, not floral.

I loved the crafted jar and of course the aroma of the scent. A little goes a long way and I love that. I gifted the product to a friend who has been VERY pleased with it. I can certainly recommend it.

I’ve always loved this perfume and I couldn’t remember it for the life of me and then all of a sudden it just popped in my head and amazon had it! I had originally bought it from a little store in Asheville years ago. It smells exactly the same and brings back so many memories

BEWARE: does NOT smell like “Egyptian Musk”! Smells like patchouli. I tried to wear it to see if it would change once on, but it didn’t & I got a rash. I asked the seller if I could return it since I was allergic, the seller emailed me back and told me no. So I threw this away. I check my Amazon acct about 2 weeks later & there’s a message that says the “return approved.”- DON’T WASTE YOUR $15 on this - order Secret of India solid perfume!! It’s only $6 and smells amazing!!!

I had been searching for a nag champa fragrance to wear and it has been quite a struggle. Many of the ones I’ve tried have not smelled at all like nah champa or been very powdery smelling. This is the first one that truly smells like I wanted it to. It comes in a beautiful wooden pot that has the solid perfume in it. It even came with a colorful friendship bracelet. The ointment/balm is solid so you have to warm it up in your fingers in order to apply it. It goes on well and did not cause any irritation and smells absolutely amazing like true nag champa. However, I don’t think I will be re-purchasing because it just does not last. I don’t want anything too overpowering, but it fades over the span of about an hour, and the scent is no longer there at all. If they could remedy that, the product would be perfect!

This was exactly what I was looking for. I was reluctant to buy without being able to smell it, but it’s perfect! I love how it seals and stays closed. I can carry it without worrying about it coming open in my purse. I will definitely buy it again!
