Feminist Fight Club: An Office Survival Manual for a Sexist Workplace

Good read, but feminism is about equality, not a crusade against men.
I read this with some coworkers, and I am a bit disappointed with this book.I really liked how empowering the message is, and the tools/ coping mechanism are really great reference. The one thing I really did not care for was the whole book had a tone of hatred against men, and that is really not even the true meaning of feminism. Feminism is equality of the sexes. This whole concept, women having the same privileges, and resources as men do in the work place; I love that they are writing about it, and trying to educate women on how to better position themselves. That's only my opinion though, other than that, it was a great read.

Great
Good to know that the things I've experienced in offices over the years weren't just in my head. I've spoken to men about these experiences and they pretend they don't exist. I was beginning to think I was overreacting or being too sensitive.I'm so glad to now be able to identify these sexist moments and have fight moves to use against them.

All Men Should Read This Book
This is a really amazing book. I am a man who has worked in the corporate world for a long time and--I have to be honest--I have been guilty of many of the subtly sexist behaviors that Bennett describes. But after reading Feminist Fight Club, I have been able to readily identify those moments and take action to avoid them--I can literally sit here at my desk and think of half a dozen examples of times when I was about to interrupt a woman in a meeting but held my tongue. The book has also made me a much better ally to my female colleagues, as many of the strategies it outlines (such as, for example, making sure women get the appropriate credit for their ideas/work product) can be implemented by men. In short, this book has profoundly changed my perspective and actions at work, and I have no doubt those changes are going to lead to better outcomes and better relationships for me as well as my female colleagues.Oh, I almost forgot--the book is also incredibly well-written, insightful, hilarious, and fun to read. There's no doubt I will be going back to it time and time again in the future.

Funny, but not sure how I feel?
This is a very funny read, but I kept being jarred out of the "we are all women, haha" humor every time gender was reduced to genitals. Maybe I am being picky, but I felt jarred by how it was relatable until the "vag vs. prick" dichotomy was introduced.

Great ideas for dealing with all kinds of discrimination
Being in my 60s now, I worry about the fights that we've fought for women all over the world. Jessica is keeping the fight alive. Great ideas for dealing with all kinds of discrimination. Easy to read and fun.

Great book for men and women
My sister got this book for my wife, I read it after her, and we sent a copy to a friend. The book is helpful toward pointing out the normalized and often unconscious sexist behavior men exhibit toward women in work settings and how to counter and respond to it. The author always has scientific studies to support her assertions and gives helpful advice on how to change damaging behavior toward women in professional settings. It has made me more aware of when/if I interrupt people in the work place, and I've been able to be a better ally by helping amplify and giving credit to good ideas that may get misattributed or overlooked.

Read it and share it!
The author takes serious research on sexism and unconscious bias in the workplace and makes it accessible, easy to digest and quite fun to read. I initially bought this book for my daughter who is just starting out in the working world. But I started reading it myself and, even after 30 plus years as a professional working woman, I still found some of the hacks to be helpful. I was surprised to recognize myself falling prey to some of the self-sabotaging behaviors the author describes - I wish I'd had this book years ago. I'm buying additional copies to give to the younger women on my team and enlisting them in the FFC.

Its so good I started re-reading it after I had finished it
BUY THIS BOOK TODAY!Its so good I started re-reading it after I had finished it. It not only identifies areas where you aren't reaching your full potentail due to learned behaviour from society and our culture (that yourself, male & female collegues act on) but gives you actions and solutions to reverse the outcome and help create an environment of equality. This is all done in a light and humourous way which made each page a delight to read.Definitely one of my fave books ever!

Useful and hilarious
Well written and funny take on fighting workplace sexism. It deals with so many of those situations that can leave you wondering if you're mad/overreacting and even if you never follow any of the tips it's worth reading just for the comforting knowledge that you're not alone or even just for amusement value.

Not really anything new
Maybe my expectations were too high but my overriding feeling the entire time reading this was that I'd heard it all before.
