Nice tool, not exactly square but works great as a guide gutting 2x8 or larger lumber

I've been looking for a speed square this size for a short time. I have a 9" one I've used for a long time. But it often is just too small. This one is just what I wanted, for a reasonable price. I would have given it a 5 star except for one thing. It's english on one side and metric on the other. This is America folks. If they wanted to make a metric one that would be fine for those who want it. However, most woodworkers I know in America use english units almost all the time. It's a real pain when I need to use the side that's metric.

i don't use this for a living, but i do rely on it now that i have it and know how to use it. for my purposes, it absolutely meets my needs and is as accurate as i need it to be. i have never owned one previously and purchased this to do some simple measuring for a garage/ceiling joist project at home. it now has a permanent home in my truck's toolbox. v h appy with this purchase.
