Great pencil! Great value!

When I heard that RoseArt owned USA Gold, I was skeptical, I remember decades ago I used RoseArt pencils and were not impressed that they were cheap, flimsy, and felt like plastic.Fast forward to 2022. I ordered a set of these pencils and I was amazed at how strong they were. After doing some research, I found out that in 2003 RoseArt purchased J.R. Moon, who was one of the big American pencil makers. Today, they continue to produce pencils out of Tennessee, and I appreciate how they say they use California incense-cedar trees which are grown sustainably. The cedar wood used for these pencils is strong, solid, and doesn't splinter when sharpened. Unlike the old RoseArt pencils, these feel like pencils and sharpen beautifully.Their biggest competitor Dixon Ticongeroga, who bills themselves as "The World's Best Pencil" has outsourced all of their manufacturing to China and India because people keep snapping up the recognizable yellow and green design, oblivious to the fact that they're not even an American company anymore (they're owned by an Italian art supply maker who clearly has put profits over maintaining an iconic American brand).I appreciate RoseArt (now owned by Mattel) continuing to keep their pencils coming out of Tennessee and their use of the highest quality wood grown sustainably. They're my pencil of choice from now on.

I like the textile feel of pencils. These have good color darkness, right tactile feel, right durability and writes at right speed. Slower than pens.

We started buying school supplies early this year so we would be ready when they go back to the classroom. I thought it would be great to be able to buy USA Made product. So many businesses have struggled this past year and this means a lot to me to be able to give back. I received my pencils and I am happy to report the following:Every pencil arrived with a perfect sharp pointSharpening was very easy both with a hand crank and electric sharpener. There was not any cracking or splitting.Erasers are smudge free and do not leave a lot of unwanted residue.Writing performance is very smoothI highly recommend these pencils and these will be my "go to" brand moving forward.

Great buy. Now my kid will be set for at least the first three months of school. Unbeknownst to me it is a rule for younger aged males in elementary school to lose every pencil they touch. And this also holds true to markers, crayons, colored pencils, and I believe headphones. So if you can buy in bulk and your son is of elementary school age I would recommend.

Kids are so hard on everything, they also lose everything ALL the time! During the school year I get asked EVERYDAY, “Momma, where can I find pencil?” Ugh, it got so annoying I started buying pencils in bulk! Enough for the school supply list and triple the amount for home! We went through many brands before both my kids agreed on this kind! They love using them, they last longer (when they don’t get lost lol) and I rebuy every year at this time. I used to just buy at Walmart but Loved this year finding them at a better price on Amazon and double the amount of pencils! Great find to save money buying in bulk! Saving this when it’s time to buy more!

Great pre-sharpened pencils. They have good erasers that didn't smear the paper.
