I've had the mat for about a week now, and I can say I love it. It's just the right thickness to make my yoga sessions enjoyable. I have fibromyalgia and problems with my joints, especially my knees/wrists (carpal tunnel in the wrists), so this mat is just the right thickness for cushioning without being too thick and making me feel less stable like some thicker mats tend to do. The design of the mat also keeps it from slipping, another MAJOR bonus! Even with some of the more vigorous flows it stays put! The materials feel high quality too, and while there was a slight chemical smell when I got it, a little airing out fixed that problem. The strap is a nice addition too!Pros:- Non-slip- Feels high-quality- Right amount of cushion without sacrificing any stabilityCons:- Might be a tad bit heavier than your average yoga mat- Only comes in the one color (black/gray)...doesn't bother me but might bother some? Who knows?Note:I've only had this mat so far for about a week and only used it lightly, so I can't say much about how long it may last. Not sure how it would do for hot yoga or intense use (for those really dedicated users), so I can't speak to that either. However, like I said, so far it's been PERFECT for me. Will update after a few months!

I don't really have too much to say in a negative fashion about this mat. It shipped and was delivered on time and as expected so no complaints there. It is kind of cushion-y, it is better than the one I used before...but not as comfy as stated. It was also sort of slippery for the first two weeks which I found to be super disappointing..again due to the reviews and the product description. I don't really know why, but my mat smelled for about a week or so even though this mat was supposedly chemical free. It did smell and I didn't like it. The main reason I am giving it a 4 instead of a 3 is strictly due to two facts: It shipped quickly and was wrapped nicely; and a two months into using it, it is finally not slippery, so that is a plus. I do like it, though but just not at first.

I bought this mat because it has amazing reviews on Amazon. I though the price was pretty decent for a mat like this one so I bought it. At first sight you get a super sturdy and thick mat; it's quite heavy too. I like that it's thick so it cushions my knees. However it's quite sticky when you first use it, sticky as in "someone put glue on my mat", so when you sweat you slip. I figured that yoga mats, like ballet shoes, need to be broken into, so maybe the sticky feeling will go away soon. Other than that I highly recommend it.UPDATE FEB 23rdAfter almost three months of daily use, the mat has hold pretty well. I will say that it is already beginning to peel towards the back.

I was really excited about this yoga mat, but have been a little disappointed for what I spent. This is the first time I've ever really shopped around for a yoga mat rather than using my mom's old one or going to a place like TJMaxx. I was happy because it seemed like I was supporting a small busniess with this purchase. Within 4 uses a chunk of the mat has come out just from regular yoga, nothing fancy. I've been storing it rolled up so it couldn't have happened any other way. It was also extremely slippery for the first few uses so I had to lay a towel or t-shirt over where my hands would go. I do enjoy the feeling of the memory foam under my hands an knees though.

The cushion on this mat is great, and it doesn't move on a slick surface. If you are looking for a mat for a gentle practice, meditation, or you don't sweat much during your practice, this should fit your needs. The top does not feel like it is any better quality than one you could find at Target, but it is relatively light and feels sturdy and soft. I have no complaints about the thickness or cushion this mat provides.Unfortunately, I sweat quite a bit during my practices and I couldn't hold a downward dog for more than a few seconds before sliding. Most of my practices are Power or Vinyasa, and I sweat a LOT. Even after cleaning with a salt-water solution, the surface is still slick when wet and does not absorb well.It might work well for some people, depending on your practice or if you have a towel or a thinner, stickier mat to lay over it like a thin Manduka or lululemon. I don't own either brand but my instructor gave me one of each to try during a class and they made a huge difference; I will likely be purchasing one of them to replace this one. If you are looking for a stand-alone mat for a sweaty practice, this is not the best option.

I was told about this mat by a friend. She said it wasn't sticky but it had adequate grip, it wasn't made of bad chemicals, didn't smell, had more cushion compared to most mats, and was longer than most as well. I wasn't sure I believed her especially when I saw how inexpensive the mat really is. I was also timid to purchase this mat after reading some reviews. However, they were mostly in reference to hot yoga. My yoga practice is calm and I don't sweat a lot. My only complaint is that it initially had an odor when I took it out of the box. The good news is, the odor went away within a few hours.Punchline: this is a great mat

Very good, durable mat that has little to no odor. It does not slip on the floor, and I have worn socks once or twice and my feet don't slip on the mat. It could be a slight bit thicker. My knees sometimes complain, but I usually just throw a blanket down over the middle part for a tad extra padding. The carry strap makes it easy to grab and carry.

Great yoga mat, I was frustrated with the travel mat that was so thin my girlfriend provided, so I upgraded to this guy and I'm wayyyy happier! The quality of the mat is accurately depicted on the description, it has a bit of a tacky grip but I feel like that will lessen with use and light cleaning with everyday use. I know you have to break these in to get that true feel. It is memory foam padding which feels nice and protects my knees, but that somehow doesn't sacrifice balance... how the heck you guys did that is beyond me :) Thanks again!
