An excellent replacement for a tired old unit
I had a feeling our 15 year old energiser was not performing as well as it used to and I was right! Replacing it with this new Rutland Essentials ESM 1500 Mains Energiser has brought new life to our fence and stopped the occasional unwelcome visitor to our garden.Easy to fit and quiet in operation I would recommend this unit.

Strong hit
Easy to install & provides a good strong hit. Should keep most things in/out.

Excellent Energiser
Well made and working well on our electric fence.However it is just the energiser in the box. It doesn't come with an earth stake or any cables to connect it to the fence or earth stake like some energiser do. Fortunately we already had these available so were able to deploy it quite quickly.Note: the round metal connectors on the cables need to be M8 (some of our other energisers use M6 connectors, so their cables wouldn't fit).Would definitely buy again.
