One of the best purchase I made for the race.
I bought this a few months ago but didn't want to leave a review until I had actually used it. I finished my first Spartan race today and I am happy to report that this protective cover did awesome making sure my Fitbit didn't get ruined. It passed the test against climbing through dry terrain, mud, and even swimming through water. 10/10 would purchase again.

Spartan Racers: this is for you- But don't be like me.
This band is exactly as advertised! It keeps the mud and splashing water off of your Fitbit and obsorbs the impact from any obstacles you might hit. With that being said... If you're anything like me, when you recieve the product and see how nice and tight it wraps around your fitbit with this almost water tight seal, you're probably thinking to yourself "what the heck my old Fitbit is really only worth pennies at this point, might as well wear it during the swim... I know it doesn't say it's water proof but.... ". Well don't. This product will do everything as advertised and no more. It is not a water tight seal and your Fitbit will get wet. My Fitbit was fine thankfully but water logged. Don't get me wrong here, this will hold up to splashes and dunks but not to swims.Because this product is exactly as advertised it gets 5 stars, that was just a word of caution for the reckless ones out there like me.

Such a Simple Concept, But Works Really Well
A few years ago my brother talked me into doing a Tough Mudder with him. I agreed and ever since then, I’ve been hooked on the world of outdoor obstacle races. A few years after I completed my first Tough Mudder, I purchased a FitBit. Initially, I had a FitBit Charge. I love my FitBit. However, I was disappointed that I couldn’t use my FitBit during obstacle races. I destroyed my first FitBit when I wore it during a race and stopped working. I tried several other items during these races, but none really protected my FitBit. Then I discovered MUDBANDZ. It’s a fairly simple article, but it works really well. I have now used my MUDBANDZ on two Tough Mudders, a Warrior Dash, a local mud race, and at The Battlegrounds in Missouri and it has kept my FitBit not only working, but clean, too. I currently have a FitBit Charge HR and my MUDBANZ works great with it. I highly recommend the MUDBANDZ for anyone who runs outdoor obstacle races and who also wears a fitness device/watch.

It’s ok
Update:I’m changing my rating from 2 stars to 3. If there was the option for 3-1/2 that is where I would put it. It does an excellent job at protecting a device, but I have to knock off points because of the fit and ease of use.I purchased this to protect my Fitbit Versa from dirt, sweat, and scratches while working in the yard. The neoprene sleeve works well for that purpose. There is still limited access to the watch. I probably will never use the TPE band. It requires nimble fingers to get it on over the neoprene sleeve, and is almost too short to get folded over my Versa. Considering there are larger devices than a Versa I think their sizing is way off. Even the fit is a bit snug. My wrist is smallish at 7 inches, and a large is a bit too snug. The neoprene sleeve alone isn’t too bad, but adding the TPE sleeve makes it too constricting. Given that joints can swell during workouts this could feel like a boa constrictor after awhile. The instructions are misleading. They show the bottom of the neoprene sleeve at the base of your wrist where your palm begins. That’s fine if you plan on wearing your watch above your wrist. You actually have to pull the sleeve partially over your palm to get the watch in the optimum location on your wrist. In pulling on the TPE sleeve, which isn’t exactly a smooth operation, you have to gauge where you want your watch to sit so that there is an even amount of the sleeve on each side of the watch. Basically, the TPE sleeve needs to be an inch longer and slightly bigger around. All in all, it does what it says it will do. I wish the form and fit were as good as the function.Original review:I’m giving this 2 stars for the only reason that it does an excellent job of covering my Fitbit Versa. The first problem is the fit. My wrist is 7 inches and the band is almost uncomfortably snug. Getting it on is like trying to squeeze Ethel Merman into a girdle made for Twiggy! Plan on spending 15 - 30 minutes getting it on. It would be a b***c for anyone with large fingers or dexterity issues. And I really doubt that the TPE band will last long. I may skip using it. I’ll update this review after I’ve used it a few times.Pros:Substantial coverageCons:Limited to no access to the watchFit is too snug (poor sizing instructions)Extreme difficulty getting it onPoor instructions for use.

The MudBandz worked so much better than I had even hoped and I TOTALLY recommend ...
Used this to protect my Fitbit Flex during a Spartan Race. I was crawling through mud-slurry that was chest deep and jumping in and out of puddles, creeks, and everything else you can imagine. ALL my clothes were completely caked in mud and water by the end, BUT.... my Fitbit was perfectly dry and as clean as the day I pulled it out of the box. The MudBandz worked so much better than I had even hoped and I TOTALLY recommend it for anyone doing these races!

but it seemed to be my best option. After 5 hours of crawling through the ...
I participated in a Tough Mudder this weekend and used the MudBandz to protect my Fitbit Alta. I was skeptical because there was no way to waterproof seal it, but it seemed to be my best option. After 5 hours of crawling through the mud and being in and out of water my fitbit was 100% dry at the end of the race. One tip I'll give is I took the band straps off and wrapped just the tracker in the two sets of rubber banding and used the neoprene cover as the method to keep it on my wrist. doing it this way I was able to fold the rubber bands around the tracker about 5 times each so it was very protected from the elements. Great product and I highly recommend this product if you are looking to protect your tracker in a mud race.

Worked perfectly with Apple Watch at OCR event
Just worn this for Total Warrior and it worked perfectly. Got submerged in mud and water multiple times but when I unwrapped it at the end my Apple Watch was completely dry and mud free.I had the water lock turned on it because the inner band wraps tightly around it and I didn’t want it messing with the touch screen. My only gripe was it still managed to pause the workout after an hour and I wasn’t aware of it because I was too filthy to unwrap on the course. Not sure if this is down to the band pressing on the side button or just my watch playing silly beggars but it still counted total exercise time and calories burnt, steps etc. I’ve got 3 more events coming up over the next couple of months so I’ll update this review if I have any issues with it.Once the band is on and the watch enclosed it felt very comfortable and I didn’t notice it was there to be honest once the event started but was glad of the extra protection/padding of the black sleeve because looking at the bruises on my arms I probably knocked my watch quite a few times.

Great product. Keeps your Fitbit safe from mud and damage.
Literally the only thing on the market I could find for what I needed. Used it for a mud run (Nuclear Race) and it worked perfectly! No damage to or mud near my FitBit (Inspire HR) and it wasn't uncomfortable to wear. Good investment as I'll definitely use again.

Exactly what I needed, but one of the two i bought had a part missing
I purchased 2 of these - 1 is great and exactly as expected. The second one arrived with one of the inner liners (the orange one) missing from the box. It will still work with just the one, but it should have 2. If tht part can be sent on to me then I have no hesitation in changing my review to 5 stars

Waste of money
This isn't actually compatible with anything that measures heart rate, as there is no provision to allow the watch/fitness tracker to continue doing so, i.e. there is no window for the heart rate sensor. To be honest I don't really even see the point in this - it just covers the whole watch so you can't even get any data from it, and it's difficult to remove, especially when you're on the move. Kind of defeats the whole purpose for wearing the watch/fitness tracker in the first place. At the end of the day it's a loop of neoprene and a loop of rubber. Total waste of money.
