Very comfortable. Significant upgrade.
Didn't think much of these but ordered them based on a recommendation and area on my paddle that always irritated my left hand. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality, feel and comfort difference. Install was very easy if you follow the instructions. Still grip well when damp and provide a comfortable handle at all times while providing a quick visual for hand alignment. Highly recommended.

Work great.
Installation was going to be impossible for me with just water. I wet both the grip and the paddle and thumped the end as the instructions told me. That would have worked had I been installing bicycle grips, as that’s as far as I could get them down the paddle shaft. Luckily, as I was getting desperate I remembered an old bike shop trick and pumped air with a compressor and air gun under the grip as I slid it into just the right place.

Perfect fit on Carlisle!
Perfect fit on Carlisle Magic Mystic paddle. I put these on both mine and my wife's paddles. They are NOT that hard to install either. Just like one reviewer stated, think of these like a Chinese finger trap: push, don't pull. If you try to pull them on, you will struggle mightily because pulling will make them narrower and tighter. Pushing them will make them widen out slightly so they can slide on. Once in place, they stay put! No sliding or spinning like the neoprene style.

Must have! No more blisters.
These are incredibly helpful, a complete game changer. My hands are so much more comfortable while paddling, less strain because I can grip easily and no blisters. The spiral design makes the grip feel very natural and comfortable. It's a little work to get them on, but worth it because they stay in place and do not slip at all while paddling.

Perfect amount of grip!
Love these grips. It makes holding the paddle much easier, especially under wet conditions. I felt I was able to get more pull strength per stroke since I was able to grip the paddle tighter. It was a bit challenging to get on the paddle, but after leaving the grips in the sun for a bit to warm up and using lots of water, I was able to slide them down into the correct position.

Helped me keep a proper index on my paddle
I got this to put on my Bending Branches Angler Classic as I'm a bit of a paddling noob and my hands were constantly slipping on the paddle and I was spending too much time correcting that. Now I know where my hands need to be without looking and can focus on proper form without using a death grip. They weren't super easy to put on but not overly difficult either. Following the directions, keeping the paddle and grips wet during installation it took me about 20 minutes to work it into the right position. I have all the faith in the world that they wont slip though so its a fair tradeoff.

A nice upgrade, but a PAIN to get on
These grips are a nice upgrade. They're pretty supple and the bit of diameter that they add to the paddle shaft really helps keep my hands from fatiguing. Overall, I am very pleased with them. My one gripe is that these things were nearly impossible to get on to the shaft of my paddle. I have an Aquaglide Stingray that has the shaft dimensions listed (30 mm / 1.18 in.) and fought for a half an hour to get them on and adjusted. Ended up using a bit of soapy water to lube them up. Using plain water, as shown in the product description, is a joke.

Keeps hands from blistering in the sun
Pros:*easy to install. Like the Chinese finger trap toy many of us had as kids, the trick is to install gently. The harder you push the more it refuses to go on.*rubber is very thick and durable. It protected my hands from blistering in the 105 degree Texas sun. The paddle gets hot!*the ribs provide extra grip*price was goodCons:*it slides around on the paddle, but this could be solved by applying a low grade adhesive (or hair spray- old bmx trick for handle bar grips)Overall a great purchase. Would recommend.

These cause more problems
These are not good what's so ever the raised grips just rub on your skin causing skin burns. Nasty buy a pair of gloves instead.

Be aware it works on 30 mm shaft , not 28 mm shaft
These grips fit the 30 mm fibreglass shafts but are loose on the 28 mm aluminum shafts . The details ( but not the description) mention it is “suitable for paddles with a diameter of around 30 mm.”.I tested for 2 hours with grip on the right fibreglass paddle but the left side without. I only had one blister on my left hand. The next day I tested again with both grips and no new blisters. That’s success.

Love these grips!
New to kayaking and I was getting blisters so I decided to gives these a try. After several hours of paddling no more blisters! They work and the grip is comfortable.BTW installation is super easy... just use a tiny bit of dish soap on the paddle shaft while wetting them. They slip on quite easily. Took me about 1 minute to do both.

Very useful
I find these kayak paddle grips to be very useful / comfortable. Eliminates the need for gloves. They are difficult to put on but with some effort they go on. I bought two sets (two paddles) and both went on with a bit of effort. Very glad I bought and installed these. We have used them numerous times and they are very comfortable. Highly recommended.

Much better, install tip to follow
I much prefer paddling with these on. They feel great. A tip: use rubbing alcohol, not water to put them on. Now I don't know if the alcohol will do something to the material and so maybe this is bad advice. But it took well over 20 minutes (and lots of swearing) to work the first one on with water, and then recalling the advice for bicycle grips, 2 minutes using rubbing alcohol. Up to you
