Artistic 19"x24" Rhinolin Smooth Writing Pad Desk Mat, Black (LT41)

This is a great surface for writing and protecting my desktop. It's very thin with a nice feel to it. I was hoping to get rid of my mouse pad and have a larger surface I could use for mousing. It works OK on tasks that don't require precision, but it causes some skipping and drifting with my laser mouse.

After awhile, the padding starts to come off.

While the Rhinolin II features an improved foam backing, I much prefer the original version.The foam on the original is more of an open cell, so it will probably not last as long, but it has a bit more give and cushion. I have had two originals for over a year, and one is in my keyboard tray and gets heavy usage (plus I cut it to fit) and I have had no problems yet.The big reason I prefer these over the updated model though is the surface. The original Rhinolins have a visibly thicker surface, and it feels much more durable. When I cut the one to fit for my keyboard drawer, I had to use a new box knife blade and it was still difficult to cut. In addition, the original version has a much better matte finish than the newer version; the newer version leaves fingerprints and has a bit of a glare.Stick with the original version if you can find it, I returned the newer version in search for an original.

I had a horrible experience with this company and for this product. After ordering 13 of these two weeks ago, I only received 3. I had to call them approximately 5 times for them to tell me that we got the last 3 items! They never called back when they said they would and Shoplet was a horrible company to work with. DON'T DO IT! Order through someone else at all costs! When I told them how dissappointed I was, they did not care. They said that had soooooo many customers. It obviously does not effect them with their very poor customer service.

This is a great pad for all types of uses! I bought two of these pads, one for my computer desk and the other to protect a hardwood entertainment center from an old large picture tube television. Both pads do a great job for what i bought them for! The pad I bought for my computer desk is great to work on top of, its not to light or thin. The other pad i bought for under the TV does a good job protecting the hard wood but the TV is so heavy it leave permeant dents in the pad and couldn't be used for something else now. The only thing i thought could be improved on is the sponge part under the hard top, it was a little thin other wise a great product!

Even with Teflon mouse feet, I found the desk surface was becoming worn - I use the computer and mouse a lot. I've also used a variety of mouse pads over the years and have relegated all of them to the recycle bin. I've used 2 of these pads, butted together, for 9 months and now can easily use a mouse with either my left or right hand. The material these pads are made of is very comfortable to work with, pleasing to the eye and easy to write on with just enough "give". The only downside is the color is flat black and the pads show dust, a quick wipe with a paper towel & glass cleaner, etc. quickly cleans them.

it does the job and protects the desk, looks nice. Don't need leather. It does stain with coffee and milk same as leather LOL but for less money. NO problem, good value. Thanks

I bought this about a month ago. I have my laptop on this and the laptop's heat warps it in 2 places. It is not very attractive anymore... I also expected a tougher surface. It is more like construction paper with a thin foam backing.
