A commentary on the Book of Revelation Paperback – May 10, 2013

An attractions and complication of the book of revelations is the symbolism, and while the author provides many warnings and some helpful advice about how to engage (and not engage) the symbols and language of the book in general, he seems almost too reluctant to engage some of the key content (at least key for a lay reader who is seeking the help of a scholar for more). Pawson is an excellent bible teacher in general and has written many fine commentaries, but in comparison, this is not one of them.

Not what I expected. Author tells a lot of stories and does not go deep into scripture at all. Very disappointed . Can not use as commentary for studying. If you are wanting to do that, look elsewhere.

We've read quite a few David Pawson's books and all of them are fantastic. This book is also highly recommended as Mr. Pawson does a marvelous job in explaining Revelations, starting from the big picture view to the small details, which can often times be very hard to understand. David's evangelical background and charasmatic belief (so a very balanced view) is exactly what the Church needs these days, just like the early Church in the times of Acts. God Bless!

Amazing book used for our class journal and study support for the book of Revelation.

English is my second langauge. I really like David Pawson's books and listen to his tapes often.The book is easy to read with many detailed examples. It brings me closer to GOD.

Excellent view on Revelation. Something to ponder on.

An excellent book, that clearly irritates other reviewers, who take a pre-tribulation position. This is an easy-to-read, yet scholarly commentary on Revelation.

I love the books of Pawson. I'm thrilled about this book in particular. I'm excited. Get it! Read it! Get into this teaching. A Commentary on the Book of Revelation is easy to read, highly engaging, and filled with knowledge and insights. If you haven't read anything by David Pawson before, I highly recommend you give it a chance. I'm so glad that I did.

This was my Lent reading, certainly time well spent. The author has firm opinions but are well made and I found them to be easy to follow.

Brilliant commentary on this book. I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to have a clearer understanding of God's final plan for the world and His people through the bible's revelation.. God bless David Pawson for his clear sighted vision. David always writes and speaks under God's authority and through the Holy Spirit.
