Back scratcher
This is a good back scratcher but I realise now that a straight handled one isn't as good as a shaped handle. You can't easily reach the middle of your back without being a contortionist!

Ideal back scratcher
Good length and easy to use, the prongs are not too sharp and do the job easily.

Excellent, but very pricey
Like lots of people, I very often get an itchy back, something that anyone who experiences likewise, knows you just have to scratch. This can mean finding a suitable doorframe or other place to scratch it! Backscratchers are great, very useful, and an absolute must-have for me.This is a pack of 2 back scratchers that are a kind of luxurious version of the standard type. They do look very smart, with a good wide scratching area, and with a nice storage pouch. As well as the scratcher, the item doubles as a roller-ball massager (er, what’s that all about?) which seems a bit pointless and gimmicky to me – others may disagree, of course. The scratch teeth are just about right, sharp enough to do the job, but not scarily so, and not rounded and useless, like some. The extending is good, works well, and stays where you want it during use.All in all, this is a nice product, a variation (sort of posh version) on the ubiquitous type, good quality, and does what it should. However, they are way more expensive than the usual ones, and to be honest, are no better at satisfying that itch.I hope that you have found this helpful.

Does a really good job ... but I feel the price is slightly expensive.
This review is for a pack of two back scratchers.Contents2 x extendable back scratchersSizeWidth of claw is 5.5 cm (2.2")Length closed 1 7.78 cm (7")Length extended 50.8 cm (20")Design/qualityThese back scratchers have a telescopic handle which extends long enough for you to be able to reach every part of your back for a good old scratch. The handle is made of wood stained to an attractive rosewood colour. The scratching claw is made from stainless steel.Features** Telescopic handles** Small massage roller at top of handle.** Comes with carrying pouchIn useFor some completely unknown reason my back itches a lot ... I've always wanted a back scratcher but up until now I've had to manage with asking my husband to scratch my back or by taking on the persona of a bear and use one of our door frames or the edge of a wall which always seems to overly entertain my family who laugh just a bit too much (lol). The handle is comfortable to hold and the whole thing feels well balanced in the hand. The metal claw does a very good job of alleviating an itch although I would advise to be gentle with the pressure as it does seem a little sharp. This back scratcher has made my life so much easier and as there are two in this pack I gave one to my husband much to his delight.PriceThe price for two is £15.99 (price correct at the time of this review) which I do feel is a bit on the expensive side.Thank you for reading and I hope you have found my review helpful

Probably the best back scratcher I’ve ever tried.
It can be so frustrating if you have an itchy back and nobody around to scratch it for you. It’s a position I find myself in virtually every day. So, I have a small collection of back scratchers. This back scratcher arrives in a nice drawstring bag. It's one of the telescopic style back scratchers that’s very much like the old FM radio aerials. It’s fairly stiff to pull open and to close, but this is better, as you don’t want it sliding in and out when you’re trying to scratch an itch. What sets this scratcher apart from the others is the inclusion of a wooden handle. It’s surprising what a difference it makes to the overall appearance and makes it look and feel higher quality. Built-in to the handle is a roller ball, which is great for massaging the temples and forehead when you have a tension headache. The scratching end has a lot of little teeth rather than the four fingers. This actually works very well and really does give a good scratch. The teeth look sharp, but they’re not.Overall, probably the best back scratcher I’ve ever tried. I hope that helps.

Son and hubby very happy!
I thought these seemed expensive, as my son used to get similar ones from a high street retailer quite cheap. However, they never lasted long and these are built to last. They also have the bonus of a roller ball for massage, the design was well thought out! These are very well made and the back scratcher is firm and very effective. Because it’s got a sturdy stainless steel claw head it works well over clothes, but it doesn’t hurt bare skin either. The claw head is wide so you can cover a wider area without having to twist yourself to reach an awkward spot. It extends from 7 to 20 inches which means my 6 foot 3 son can use it easily too.I have fibromyalgia and I can’t lift my arms high, back scratchers don’t normally do much for me when you need to twist to use them. This one is actually useful due to the wide claw and telescopic handle. It means I can use it from an angle that doesn’t hurt me and the claw is wide enough to get to the itch with minimal effort. My son and husband suffer with back acne so getting 2 of these means we can place them in rooms we can all find them. My only gripe would be there’s only one pouch - the benefit of a double pack is sharing so I’d prefer they had their own pouches.Whilst they are dearer than high street ones, the quality is superior and they would make an excellent gift. My late father would have loved these.
