I was looking for something with a diffuse glow that would still help illuminate a room, and got a pair of these. Solid bases, nice globes, arrived intact. I did swap out the bulbs because I wanted something a little dimmer, but I would recommend these and would get them again.

Beautiful little lamp but very hard to put the globe on. I also did not like the bulb that come with it - too bright.

I bought this initially for soft ambient light in my office and thought it was too bright. However, I put it a little further away from my desk and it casts a soft off-white light that gently illuminates the room. It is a good size, nice and compact, with a steady glow, well-made, and looks peaceful on my shelf. I hid the cord in between my books and plugged it into an outlet remote so I don't need to reach in to switch it on and off. Good value for the cost.

It has a glare not a soft light

I was not happy that the bulb was stored IN the globe during transit. The reason is, the bulb rattles and bounces inside the glass globe and no outer packaging is going to protect against that. please wrap the bulb's box in something to prevent damaged globes in the future. Apart from that very important thing, my item was fine. Arrived packaged very well in foam and in great condition. The marble base is beautiful and solid. The globe is in great condition, no flaws or marks. I am extremely happy with this lamp. I will be replacing the bulb because the one they sent is a daylight hue, not the warm white I was looking for. This is no problem though, because I bought the lamp not the bulb.
