Next to Dick Clark, Casey Kasem is America's favorite deejay. On his 30-tune collection of presumably his All-Time Christmas Favorites, the timeless CK seems to be appealing to elderly listeners who warm to the classical sounds of the season from yesteryear and get a big bang for the buck. With cuts by the likes of Nat King Cole, Burl Ives, Doris Day, Sammy Davis, Jr., Dean Martin, Bing Crosby and others, you know he's not about to be spinning much beyond Martina McBride, whose "Do You Hear What I Hear?" is the most current thing on the two-disc set. Still, with classics from Eartha Kitt ("Santa Baby"), The Boston Pops Orchestra under Arthur Fiedler ("Sleigh Ride"), Amy Grant ("Hark! The Herald Angels Sing") and more, Kasem knows that the best songs never go out of style, especially at Christmas. --Martin Keller
