the company is great to do business with
I so enjoyed working with this company but after using this vanilla in several recipes I am sorry to say the flavor just really isn't what I hoped it would be, maybe someone else would enjoy the lite floral aroma but I have been cooking with Madagascar pure Vanilla for well over 50 years. and my friends and customers are just spoiled I guess. because they definitely noticed the difference. and didn't know why but the taste just wasn't near the same especially my candies and cheesecakes. I wish these sellers well though and would say anyone should try it. We all have different tastebuds and you might even like theirs better.

Great Stuff
I bought this right before Christmas when I was baking many treats. I was a little hesitant to pay that much but I ALWAYS use real Vanilla Extract. My Grandmother once told me that if you are going to the trouble of baking for Friends and family use the best. That is what I was trying to accomplish. Let me tell you, this is the stuff. Best Vanilla I have ever used. I whole heartily recommend it. Great stuff. I just wish I could afford it in everything. A wonderful Vanilla taste in all of your baked goods and the odor makes you want to just smell it constantly!

It tasted so good I concocted a variance to my usual afternoon cocktail ...
I bought this to use for baking and making waffles, but I found a different use. It tasted so good I concocted a variance to my usual afternoon cocktail of ginger ale and vodka....I added a small amount to my cocktail and WOW ! did the Vanilla flavor come out !! I Love it !! I can only imagine the uses for this unique flavoring....endless....try it in or on anything if you like vanilla ...this is truly a quality product . A bit on the pricey side, but very good...I will buy more..a little goes a long way..Thanks..... I do not know which one to try next. Surprise me!! :)I am open to new flavors...convince me

ORIGINAL: The worst vanilla extract I've ever tried. UPDATED: The Heilala Pure Vanilla with seeds is heavenly!
ORIGINAL:This vanilla is the absolute worst. I tried this in my liege waffle recipe which takes 2 hours to rise before I can start using the batter so once it ruined the batter, it ruined that option for breakfast. The smell is off. It smells artificial, like leather tanning chemicals. The taste is not vanilla at all.I took two bites of the waffle, the first one registered the foul taste right away, the second bite was for confirmation it wasn't my pure maple syrup making the waffle taste so---disgusting. Even four hours later I can still taste the after-taste of the chemical laden flavor. I've used two fold vanilla all the time, never has it tasted or smelled like this. I've smelled advertised artificial vanilla that smelled pleasant unlike this stuff which will make your nose hair cringe. I'm afraid to dump this down the drain and contaminate the sewer.I can't imagine what anyone posting a positive review of this vanilla is smoking but apparently they're smoking it while using this trichloroethylene vanilla.I've attached an image of two vanillas I use which are superb. Unlike this product which I can being responsible for creating three headed sewer rats.UPDATED:I had the opportunity to try the Heilala Pure Vanilla with Seeds and it is like a cross between decedent and sublime. A hybrid of vanilla extract and vanilla bean paste. Slightly sweet from glycerin but all vanilla. I wish they offered it in larger sizes. I made some pancakes for dinner tonight and it was fantastic. Strong but lacking any after-taste, the vanilla aroma lingered. My opinion for the product listed stands so if you try the extracted listed here and don't like it, try their Pure Vanilla with Seeds, I can nearly guarantee you'll like it. This is why I changed my review.

Great Flavor
I really like the flavor and fragrance of this vanilla. It is completely different than Tahitian (which I love for it's cherry notes and inimitable sweetness) but with darker notes more reminiscent of caramelized apples and spice notes reminding me of sweet potato pie. I swear I also get a little root beer in the nose as well. Altogether it is different from other vanillas, similar to Mexican but more complex, dark like Madagascar but sweeter and fruitier. It is my go to vanilla for glazing apple turnovers for now but I'm already dreaming of Autumn baking with Heilala!

Great smell and taste, in my opinion.😍
Just got around to using this new vanilla (to me) and when I opened the cap, I thought it smelled wonderful so don’t know the reason for a few reviews to say it didn’t. I baked some snickerdoodles and they were delicious, so it made them taste great. I will definitely order this vanilla from Amazon again as the Greatstores here seem to be limited as to choices in real vanilla and I hate the imitation kind.

AWFUL!!! TERRIBLE!!! Don't waste your money!!!
Like? NOTHING!!! Dislike? Everything!! I only ordered this because I've been to Tonga several times and have had authentic UNDERSCORE authentic Tongan Vanilla. This smells like Diesel fuel and tastes worse than sour milk and 3month old eggs combined! All that and I didn't notice the fine print saying it was not returnable because you can't ship flammable or gaseous liquid back to Amazon!!! They can ship to me? I can't ship to them? Shame on me. Don't waste your hard earned money on this positively terrible Diesel fuel - well, unless you are weird and love Diesel fuel. Still don't order here - I'll send you this!!!

So far works well in my hot cereal
I had a large bottle of vanilla extract that took about twenty years to use up because I use only a half of a teaspoon at a time. This small bottle of Heilala vanilla extract tastes milder in my hot cereal, so it doesn't overpower the cinnamon.
