Texts from Mittens the Cat 2022 Day-to-Day Calendar Calendar – Day to Day Calendar, 30 Nov. 2021

We thought we got a bad print, but on reading closer it says that the back is left blank this year. Previous years the back had a fact, puzzle or joke. My kids enjoyed reading the Mittens texts, then learning a fact every night. They are so disappointed they want to switch to a new calendar after only three days.

Give any cat a lot of attention and his or her highly individual personality will come out with all its nuances and detailed quirks. I love Mittens, and the cast of characters in his life -- his Mama (receiver of his tweets), his Grandma, Earl the Filthy Hound with whom he is forced to share his home, their neighbour Drunk Patty who catsits, and his feline friends Fiona and Stumpy. I find myself reading weeks ahead as the plot of this annual novella develops. I miss the puzzles, games, and trivia that were on the back of each page last year, but I suppose they did take up space that could be used for writing notes. Still a charming calendar!

I have a tuxedo kitty named Mittens so this is a winner from the very beginning. I have been reading Mittens' texts now for three years and they never repeat themselves or get boring. It was a daily highlight for my husband and I to read these together. My husband passed away unexpectedly just two days before Christmas one year ago. I still ordered the calendar this year and read them aloud daily, hoping he can still connect with us.

I got one of these for Xmas 2020 and I got hooked on it, with the texts, and all the characters in Mittens life. I had to buy myself one for 2022 because no one got it for me from my Xmas list for 2021.

Gift for a friend. Should be good for a daily laugh. Wished I bought two

This calendar made me laugh out loud. So I bought this for my sister. She loves it and sends me daily pics of Mittens adventures and we laugh together. I would buy it again!
