I've had a crash in one
I low sided my motorcycle and had the shoulder and elbow plastic melt. I walked out without a scratch. Bought a replacement as I like to wear this under wind resistant high viz jackets. In the summer it is nice as you dont have to wear your jacket and it does a good job with venting compared to a zipper jacket.

If it fit, it would be pretty awesome
I'm 6'2" and 210-215 pounds, depending on what time of day it is. I ordered the one listed as ranging from XL-XXL since it was the largest size. I should have realized that this wasn't referencing an XXL "American." This fits me exactly like the American medium size would: I can put it on and zip it up, but it fits snugly, and it's far too short for me. It doesn't quite reach my belt line.I can stretch the mesh arms long enough to get my thumbs through the thumb holes, but this causes the elbow protection to become forearm protection, and the shoulder protection becomes protection for the side of my triceps.Still much better than having nothing, and the back piece still covers a decent area, but I've had to cut off all buckles and the belly strap to make this work. Will not order again.

Light weight heavy duty body armor for extreme life.
It fits really well as I got a large I’m 5-10 215lbs and it’s just what I wanted for protection on my electric skateboard and going like 25mph and it’s light weight and perfect for summer as it’s lacy but not like in a feminine way, and so it’s going to go well with my red helmet and red cycle gloves. It’s not going to keep me dry or warm nor did I get it for that purpose and I will be using it in the heat I wouldn’t want it to hot. Not going to keep you dry as it’s like a mesh cloth lining and in my opinion they nailed with weight and comfort and price and I love it!! So if your smaller I would get somthing smaller and big dudes get

I’M BUFF.
Sizing chart said I should be a Medium, but based on comments saying order three sizes larger, I only ordered an XL because it was the largest size available. Honestly, I’m glad I didn’t get anything larger because I’d be swimming in it!One size up should be sufficient. At two sizes up, the XL fits me (5’10”, 160lbs), and I can comfortably wear a long-sleeve cold weather underarmour under the mesh. The thing is pretty much unwearable without the back protector though, as the chest piece cannot be secured in place and the shoulders will tilt forward on you, as they also attach to the back protector. Perhaps a Medium or Large would‘ve reduced this drooping effect and it could be wearable without the back protector, but you’re going to want to be able to secure things in place if you want to be comfortable at all.Mine shipped with a slight tear in the foam by the left shoulder pad. I don’t really care and won’t do anything about it, but kind of annoying.Once you tighten down everything (which you will if you order up sizes), the fit is comfortable for extended periods of time. There is solid coverage on the expected areas, everything else is thin lycra mesh.I don’t use the thumb loops because I have long arms and it pulls all the pads out of position. I didn't buy it for the thumb holes anyway, but if you’re cosplaying or something, worth knowing.Overall good bang for your buck, and you probably dont need to oder more than a size or two up. Unless you’re oddly proportioned or something.

good value
it is decent, the zipper is like a zipper on a women's garment, not crazy about that. velcro could be a little more heavy duty, I can see it failing. The fit is about a half to one size small but it is comfortable and a good value for the money as the pad placement is good and appears to be adequate for the task. I haven't taken a spill to test it and hope I don't but feel that it will protect me if I do. some of the buckles were threaded wrong but that was easy to fix in a minute or two. It is a good bang for the buck item.
