another great story
I’m not sure how Larson can keep coming up with so many stories. Mind boggling. Keep up the work BV!

Old James McGill up to the same old stuff
I hope BV Larson never gets too popular. I only say this because I don't want to see him roasted on the spit of self righteous indignation. These books are SO much fun but they will offend a lot of people.I actually paid for this book even though it was available on Kindle Unlimited for free. That's how much I appreciate BV's work on these.I think I have said before but I am not sure I would like McGill as a person but as a character in a book I love him. I look at these books the same way I see stand up comedy. You must check you ability to be offended at the door and just have fun.In the series I don't think Green World is one of the best but I still thoroughly enjoyed it.A lot of times in a long series like this the author tends to lose track and adds plot lines that don't fit with previous books. BV does a really good job of bringing in characters and themes from previous books without creating paradoxes.LOVE THESE BOOKS! KEEP THEM COMING! Until they catch on and destroy us all :)

Funny sci Fi series
I have these in e-book version. Saves space! McGill character is hilarious. He is just a lowly Centurion but his antics in the galactic empire is starting to make it's mark!

imagination unleashed
Mr. Larson keeps coming up with new ideas and the way to weave them into a riveting and spell binding story. Another great book.

Undying merc for an undying series
This series is, by far, one of the best sci-fi stories ever written. The personalities and relationships drives the crazy and intriguing story forward. I love how it feels very human, gritty, and witty. Not so stuffy and technical like so many other sci-fi stories I've read. I look forward to hopefully reading many more books in the series. I think it would make for an interesting dynamic if at some point Turov and McGill had a child and Turov hid it all from McGill and them having to work through it. I wonder how long it will take McGill and Turov to realize they actually love each other and what that will lead to... Maybe a bit more loyalty, or at least acknowledgment by both. I think this series does a great job for highlighting it is all these relationships that drives everything forward and when tragedy happens people will move heavan and earth for their loved ones, and to hell with politics and the ensuing consequences.

Nothing New; Nothing Bad
This one was ok in the sense that it didn't vary from the canon. Thus if you've come this far, here's more of the same. We do get a variant of a previous race, a new NPC and some interesting tech that's presented, like all of it, as unexplained. There is an interesting development at the very end where a significant player does transform into something that may cause complications down the road. This follows the transformation of a minor player that brings on the only half philosophical narrative in the whole series. Since it's that time in the world, the minor element introduced involves racism. Sigh. Some of the action is getting more than shopworn such as the protagonist bragging that he has almost no attention span, is huge to the point that if motivated, he could take on a dozen trained fighters. He's still circulating through the same catalog of females. To sum up, in the end, we have here a few hundred pages that advance the story a half step. There is a minor cliffhanger on the last page that hints toward V16.

Didn't like this one as much.
However, it was still good and exciting. I've enjoyed the entire series. But I must admit, even in the world of science fiction, you run out of steam. This story is kind of doing that now. It's almost time for it to end, but that's okay. Mr. Larson is already a 'writin' fool'. Good Lord, I've read at least 30 of his books. He's got plenty of other ideas to lay out in his career. So I'd like to see Good Ole James McGill finally wind down and be able to relax. Once again, still enjoy the characters.

Back again for action
Yet again, good old fashioned military space opera. A bit like the Stainless Steel Rat on steroids. The best series I have read in years bar none, with some interesting twists as ever. McGill kicks ass and saves the world again. A superb romp. More please.

Not up to scratch
This just was not the quality I expected. Disjointed yet unfortunately predictable . It lacked substance, depth and plot. I’m sure this can be recovered in any next instalment but I sincerely hope we get some new characters joining in.

As good as the rest!
A fun and enjoyable read! This series of books always puts me in a better mood when a new one comes out. Highly recommend them all.

Brilliant as ever
Yet again mr Larson takes us to the far reaches of the galaxy and back with death, blood, death, snot, death, aliens, death, sex, death and a bit more death for good measure. A brilliant read which still keeps us begging for more after 15 books.
