Wonderful product and really heavy especially for households women...also please don't beat the spices just hold the pestle firmly and gently rotate it with the spices like making '0' in the mortar. It works magical. Lastly follow the basics procedure for polishing the mortar before first use!

Product is as per description. However, on the heavier side… so if planning for daily use, cleaning can be cumbersome.

I like the size, finish, quality and design of the mortar and pestle. The polished finish on the exterior make is attractive if you have a modern kitchen with a minimalist look - better than a rough granite finish, It is the largest sized granite mortar and pestle I saw on Amazon and I was unsure whether it would be too big. I did not have space in my kitchen for a flat grinding stone. However, the size of this mortar makes it practical and versatile for grinding many things such as coconut, spices, etc. Glad I ordered it.

Very nice material. Size is perfect for family of 4. Outer is amazingly polished and beautiful ❤️. Inner is superbly made so as to get perfect for grinding. Price is quite high but ok if you need a good thing in your kitchen. I followed initial process to prepare for regular use after seeing YouTube videos. I am using since more than 15 days and I am fully satisfied. I can say go for it !!

This product is a quality item and a permanent addition to my kitchen. It's nicely polished on the outside and is true to it's dimension and looks. The product is very heavy(mortar ~ 3kg, pestle ~ 1kg) and crushes and grinds anything that's inside with ease, although you might feel tired using it for long duration (why would you, though) Do follow the instructions to first grind some raw rice and then with garlic and cumin as it's machine cut and is unseasoned. Attached is a photo after the process and as shown, there is discoloration as it has removed some of the stone and smothened the surface on the inside.

I would have been given 5 stars for this product if the pestle had not been chipped off. Pros: Size is good for medium chores. Pestle is a bit heavy but useful for crushing and grinding The overall look is almost the same as what is shown on Amazon Cons: Pestle is delicate and easily chipped on the edge while grinding with flat head!
