Sort of Coal - Kuro Activated Charcoal Shampoo (100 ml / 3.38 oz)

I REALLY wanted to love this product. I've recently been getting into charcoal products and am super picky when it comes to packaging. The entire Sort of Coal line is beautifully presented. I'd buy it all just to have on display! I also really love smoky scents so I thought I was going to fall head over heels in love but...as a few others have noted, IT SMELLS LIKE BBQ SAUCE! There's a certain sweetness to the scent that just throws me off. I ended up using it as a hand wash because I really don't want my hair and body to smell like I went to a cookout and accidentally was mistaken as a piece of brisket. If you love warm, smoky scents, skip this and spend your money on Le Labo's Patchouli 24 body wash  Patchouli 24 Shower Gel/8 oz. . You'll thank me later!

I thought to try this smaller bottle out first instead of the more expensive 500ml one, also available from amazon at the time of this review. Well, the other ones' reviews are right... this TOTALLY SMELLS LIKE BBQ SAUCE.I didn't believe them. No way, right? It's charcoal--it should just smell like a campfire, at most. Could it be that all of these other reviewers are mixing up charcoal grills vs. barbecue pits? NOPE. There is actually a sweet/sour smell. This probably comes from the oak vinegar ingredient.It's not that the shampoo is bad, but you do kind of have some expectations when you use a charcoal product. BBQ sauce smell is not one of them. It's also ultra expensive for what it is.

It is really has charcoal on it and it helps detox my scalp without drying it. I must note that your hair will smell like you were in a room full of smokers, also I didn’t pay attention to the product size when I ordered it, it is a deluxe sample sized bottle but it lasts for a while.

Don't waste your money!! Bottle is sooo small and you need so much to make a lather which wouldn't bother me so much if actually WORKED, but it doesn't clean your hair at all!!! My recommendation is Save YOUR MONEY and get Sauve Clarifying for 4.00 and 3x the amount of product.

Horrible smell just horrible, you have to shampoo your hair with another stronge product because the smell in your hair is so bad that peolple vomite
